This new resort boasts spa facilities, has a total of 5 pools, one in door spa pool with water jets, sauna, steam room, gym, tennis courts and beautiful landscaped gardens. The apartment has a wonderful sea view. The apartment is a 5 minute drive from Almerimars marina, where you'll find all the bars, restaurants, yachts and not forgetting the 18 hole championship golf course. If you prefer you can take a wonderfull stroll along the lit, tree lined promenade to the marina too, which is lined with eateries and tapas bars along the way. With little effort you can find more than than enough to do for the entire family - a day at the beach or a day site seeing. For golfers there is the great 27 hole golf course designed by Gary Player costs between 40 & 80 euros per round, you can hire buggies, clubs etc, at additional costs. Dress code is smart casual and trainers may be worn. There are 3 other golf courses within a 20 - 30 minute drive of Almerimar too.

Notes on accommodation
The apartment is fully air conditioned, is suitable for children, inc babies. I have supplied some big foam mats for families with babies so they have somewhere comfy to crawl around on. These can be supplied on request. There is also a high chair and a fully reclining pram available for your use too.
Accessibility
Although the apartment itself is not specifically adapted for special needs, there is wheel chair access at the resort via ramps and lifts to the facilities and the underground car park.
Outside
The apartment has a terrace, with table and chairs for dining. There are 5 swimming pools in the resort, there is an indoor spa pool, with sauna, steam room, gym and of course if you're energetic there are the tennis and paddle courts.
Coast/Beach
The area boasts a wildlife sanctuary and an award winning Blue Flag beach which is a 1 minute walk from the apartment. The promenade is fully lit at night and is lined with palm trees, it takes you all the way to the marina where the shops, cafes and restaurants can be found, the promenade is lined with tapas bars and restaurants if you fancy a rest along the way.
Golf
The great 27 hole golf course designed by Gary Player costs between 40 & 80 euros per round, you can hire buggies, clubs etc, at additional costs. Dress code is smart casual and trainers may be worn. There are 3 other golf courses within a 20 - 30 minute drive of Almerimar, more information can be obtained from the local tourist information centre. Other courses in the area are:-
~ La Envia - A challenging course, rounded off by a bite to eat on the terrace which has absolutely fantastic view
~ Playa Serena - Next to the sea in Roquetas Del Mar, good all round course.
~ Desert Springs - As it sounds, a bit of green in the middle of a desert, incredible course, just watch your clubs and bring some spare balls.
Skiing
GRANADA / SIERRA NEVADA: 2 hours drive
For the more adventurous you can travel to Granada, the most visited city in Spain. This is a beautiful town that has kept its traditional charm whist embracing the present. The Alhambra palace is a whole day’s trip so would warrant an overnight stay, which you wouldn’t regret as there is so much to see & do. Just past Granada is the Sierra Nevada, the tallest mountain range in Spain. The 2000 winter Olympics were held here and has everything you would expect from a Ski Resort. Although open all year round we would only recommend that you visit here in the winter, indeed, you can hire ski equipment should you wish to spend a day on the slopes.
Travel
The journey from Almeria airport is about 45 minutes, numerous operators fly to Almeria including Easyjet, Ryan Air, Monarch, Jet2, MyTravel, BMI Baby . Travelling from Malaga and Murcia airports take approx 2 hours. Car hire is recommended (but not essential) and is available from the airport at good prices.

SAN JOSE & CABO DE GATO (Natural Park) Approx 45 mins drive: San Jose is a traditional Spanish town with windy streets, little bars and restaurants. It has a great family beach open all year round. There are 2 world renowned beaches in the Cabo de Gato a stones throw from San Jose which is well worth the extra drive. (Voted in top 10 beaches in Europe)
TEXAS HOLLYWOOD Approx 45 mins Drive: Where films such as “The good the bad and the ugly” & “A fist full of dollars” were filmed. An all round decent day out with polls, real life shows, film sets, restaurants, a small Zoo and rides for the kids.
GO CARTING:At Copo Shopping Centre, about 5 mins drive from house there is Go Carting track great for the kids. For a bigger Go Carting experience there is a large outdoor circuit on the way in to Roquetas del mar.
ROQUETAS DEL MAR: At about 30mins drive away you can visit the largest coastal resort in Almeria, with more life and things to do such as a Water Park, Karaoke bars, English bars, Spanish Tapas Bars, a great Beach and all your big resort amenities,. There is a large shopping centre here called “Gran Plaza” which has all the shops & eateries you could wish for (Including Top shop / Top man, Dorothy Perkins, Zara and many more.) There is also a great Arcade & Ten Pin Bowling ally here too, well worth a visit.
CELIN Traditional small Spanish village about 20 mins drive: If you fancy a BBQ traditional Spanish style you can visit Celin in the mountains. This is a typical tiny Spanish village which has not moved with the time. Go there on a Sunday and follow the sign for “Walkers”. You will come to a natural spring from the mountains in to which walks have been laid out. The Spanish come here every weekend to have a BBQ, drink their wine cooled by the spring water and watch the kids playing, very traditional.
ALMERIA – Capital city of Almeria about 30mins drive. Obviously being the capital of Almeria it has all the typical aspects of a coastal resort.

About the owner
We are a family with two small children, we both work full time so our holiday time means a lot to us. Before our two off springs arrived we liked to travel long haul, so have been to some amazing countries and have had some great experiences. We decided to buy in Spain, and specifically in Almerimar not only for the short flights and the amazing weather they have but also because of its diversity, a short drive or bus trip you can be in the hustle and bustle or in tranquil surroundings, you could even go skiing if that is your thing or golf. In this particular area of Spain tapas is big part of life and we like to go out and sit in the array of cafes where fresh (and free of charge) tapas is served with your drink.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We purchased a holiday home so that we could holiday in luxury surroundings with all the comforts of home available, we could eat, sleep when we want, and not be regimented like in hotels. We chose Almerimar not only for the weather but because the area is unspoilt by development and strict guidelines on buildings works are in place. We have peace of mind as the resort is a safe and secure environment and is beach front. The facilities are fantastic whether you are a family or a couple. We like to hire a car and drive out to attractions, although this is not essential as the beach promenade takes you direct to the main marina where the cafes, bars and shops can be found. Almerimar has retained its real Spanish feel and that is what we love about the place.

The resort has been tastefully landscaped and is set on its own private boating lake. The area itself borders on a wildlife sanctuary so is ideal for bird spotting. It is set back from the sea, so we have a fab sea view and you can walk to the main attractions in the marina via a wonderful stroll along the lit palm tree lined promenade. Our key holding company, provide an excellent personal service and will be on hand as much or as little as you would like. We offer a free grocery delivery service for you if required at the beginning of your holiday, you only pay for the goods not the delivery. We also provide complimentary tea, coffee, milk and sugar.
