Casa Del Ingles was completed in 2009 to a very high standard with all fixtures and fittings carefully selected to compliment the style of the house. The house has natural terracotta tiled floors and high ceilings giving the larger than average rooms a wonderful feel to them. The house is also perfect for 2 families or a large family group with lots of space and enclosed play areas for children both inside and out. Stunning outdoor heated swimming pool ensuring that you can enjoy the house and the peace and tranquillity of your surroundings all day long. Shallow end for Children and infinity style views of the valley. Sun loungers around the pool area. Outdoor dining table for 12 on the patio and 12 in the courtyard.

Living Rooms: The living room includes a flat screen TV, CD / DVD player, quality hifi, DVDs and CDs, and comfortable furnishings. The Living room also has an open fire with free logs provided.
Other: The reading room is in the centre of the house and is a peaceful sitting area with stunning views of the valley

Towels and linen are provided. The property will be cleaned once per week (Saturdays normally) and all linen and towels changed

Notes on accommodation
The house has full central heating and is cool enough in summer not to require air conditioning (the walls are 1 mtr thick!) There is an open fire in the lounge with logs provided - perfect for Spring, Autumn ans Winter lets. The property has a gated entrance and fence all around so is perfect for children (we have 3 of our own!) There is also a fully equipped games room with pool table, darts, CD player and table tennis table - perfect if the weather is off!

Accessibility
For people with mobility difficulties there are 2 ground floor en suite bedrooms with access directly from the courtyard. Dining is perfect in the courtyard so they need never venture upstairs if need be. Alternatively, there is a first floor ensuite bedroom which allows same level access to the lounge, reading room, games room, kitchen and upper patio's.

Outside
The gardens are mostly laid to patio with very large upper and lower patio areas with stunning views. There is an 8m x 4m heated pool with a 2m shallow end for kids. Sun loungers are provided around the pool area. There is a magnificent Horreo (ancient grain store) in the garden which provides shade and a great architectural feature. There is a gated internal courtyard which provides a wonderful sheltered Al Fresco dining area at night and a play area for kids in the day. There are two areas for outside dining, a table and seating for 12 on the upper patio and a similar set up in the courtyard.

Coast/Beach
The beaches of Galicia are some of the best in Europe. The closest beach is an easy 1 hr drive away with easy parking all around. The Cangas peninsular is 1 hr 15 mins and is simply stunning.

Golf
The stylish and well respected Mondariz golf course is 20 km away (20m drive) It is a remarkable course, home to the Spanish Championship last year. Despite this it is around 30 Euro's a round with a buggy and VERY friendly. Perfect for golf lovers. Mondariz is also a stunning spa town for evening dinner following a good round of golf.

Special interest holidays
The area is perfect for fishing with local rivers virtually bursting with trout and permits easy to obtain from bars and the town hall. Also, bird watchers will know that Galicia has a special variety of birds of prey - it is the perfect haven for bird watchers.

Travel
Travelling to the house is easy but a car is essential. It is situated just 20 mins from the A52 Motorway which links all the major transportation routes. The house is accessible from 3 airports:
Vigo (Air France ) 40 kms and 55 mins
Santiago (Ryan Air) 135 kms and 1 hr 35 mins
Porto (Ryan Air) 160 kms 1 hr 55 mins
Santander Port (Brittany Ferries) 550 kms 5 hrs

Distances
The house is situated in a quiet hamlet of Prado with a good bar restaurant. Nearest market town is A Caniza at 10 km, nearest supermarket is Covelo at 8 km. Vigo is 50 mins away, Santiago 1 hr 40 mins.

There are many local restaurants close by, details are in the house or on the web site. A bank is 8 km away with a supermarket. Pharmacy is 5 km away, so too is a doctors.
