Apartment cleaned on arrival, bed linen provided, also beach and bathroom towels, tea towels and kitchen towels, linen can be changed midweek and maid, and laundry service can be provided at a small extra charge. |
Outside
Your apartment has its own private entrance and shaded car parking. The large garden has a swimming pool 9x4 mtrs with a depth of 1mtr to 1.8mtrs, unfenced, a large tiled surround, a large barbecue, table and chairs, umbrella, sun loungers. Outside lighting for those wonderful summer evening barbecues by the pool. The garden is laid out with gravel beds, and planted with an assortment of climbing plants, shrubs and palms. There are an assortment of wild birds in the vicinity which are fascinating to watch.
Coast/Beach
The two sandy beaches of Aguilas are a 25 minute drive away through the mountains plus other beautiful coves and beaches dotted along the coast in either direction of Aguilas.
Golf
There is a golf course at Campasol, which is approximately a 45 minute drive.
Travel
Lorca is situated 2kms off the motorway.
The nearest airport is San Javier (Murcia) approximately 1 hours drive.
Alicante is Approximately 1 hr 20mins drive away, although at peak time it could be a little longer, but the motorways are excellent.
Car hire is essential, these can be picked up at both airports.
It is possible to travel on the European rail network, although not from the airports, but there is a rail and coach station in Lorca if you fancy a day out not driving.
Distances
The nearest villages are a 5 minute drive and have banks, tapas bars and a small supermarket which supplies your every need. Also a petrol station.
City of Almeria approx 1 1/2hrs drive
Granada approx 2 1/2hrs drive
Mazaron approx 1hr drive
Cartegena approx 1 1/4hr drive
Further details
Lorca is an absolute delight, visit the medieval quarter and visitor centre or take part in some retail therapy. Visit Lorca at Easter and watch the most magnificent procession you are ever likely to witness.
Take a day out and visit the medieval town of Caravaca De La Cruz, drive onto Maratalla and return through Bullas and the breathtaking scenery of Siera Cambron.
There are many markets offering the finest and freshest fruit and vegetables, also herbs, spices, cheeses and olives.
There are magnificent Cathedrals in Lorca, Murcia, Cartegena and Almeria.
There are Castles in Lorca, Veloth Blanca and Almeria.
You have Pueblo Mojacar a white village set in the hills, and the small town of Nijar which specialises in ceramics and fabrics, both on the way to Almeria. The list goes on, but if you want to experience real Spain, among friendly people who are very proud of their heritage, then this is the place to come, we feel you will not be disappointed.If you are interested in painting, you could always pay Mary Eames a visit, she organises one day painting classes, and provides all materials and a lunch.
