Villa Agustina is a lovely cortijo with private pool, situated between Granada and the sea, near the village of Padul. It is a very private house set in agricultural land with lovely views to the distant mountains. With excellent road links, the Costa Tropical coast (30 minutes), Granada with the Alhambra Palace (15 minutes) and Sierra Nevada ski resort (45 minutes) can easily be reached by car.

The beaches of the Costa Tropical are 30 minutes. Las Alpujarras are 15 minutes.

Skiing
Ski resort - Sierra Nevada is 45 minutes. The Sol y Nieve ski resort held the 1996 world ski championships and provide excellent skiing for all levels.

Travel
Granada airport is now offering Ryanair flights from Stansted, Liverpool, Dublin, etc. The airport is 20 mins drive.
Malaga airport is a 90 minute drive (130km).
Car hire is not essential as buses to Granada are excellent.

Granada 15 minutes by car.

Villa Agustina is a typical Cortijo (country house) located below the mountains of the Sierra Nevada, overlooking the Ojo Oscuro (dark eye) wetlands. The detached house is surrounded by grape vines and fruit trees, with a large patio shaded by a pergola. There is a barbecue and table and chairs for eating under the stars! The large swimming pool and sunbathing terrace give beautiful views across the countryside and distant mountains. The pool, garden and outdoor life make a wonderful holiday atmosphere.
The property is 10 minutes walking distance from the village of Padul for shopping, markets, bars and restaurants. The white villages of the Alpujarra are less than an hour by car.
The area is ideal for walkers and naturalists as there is a great variety of wildlife, including turtles, crabs and birdlife. Granada is a beautiful city with a rich cultural heritage from its Moorish past. A vibrant city with many squares and narrow lanes with shops, tapas bars and restaurants. The Costa Tropical has lovely Mediterranean beaches within easy driving distance from Padul and good fish restaurants can be found overlooking the sea.
