Refurbished by sculptor / textile designer owners- a cheery first floor apartment in the small group at Retrio Sol with well kept shared garden and salt water pool with children's shallow end. One of the few areas without high rise buildings in the views. Electronic gate safe parking and lock-up for bikes. Fully equipped light open kitchen with breakfast bar for four and dining area for six, white shower room with washing machine. The second bedroom has sliding doors onto the live space- it can be used as an extra living area, if you only need one bedroom. Walking distance to supermarkets, patisserie and bars/restaurants. 30 mins walk to Denia centre or a few minutes by car. Great upmarket shopping, indoor/outdoor food markets, ambient "zen time" cafes and the new yacht marina complex. We thought an all white apartment was not very exciting so there's a splash of colour for a homely, but holiday feel.

Notes on prices
Prices are in UK pounds per week. We accept payment either in pounds or euro equivalent. Contact us for longer term rental rates. There may be a £20 per week supplement between Dec-Feb for electricity - depending on rental period, this would be agreed beforehand.
Changeover day
Flexible. The apartment must be vacated by 10 a.m on the day of departure and access on arrival day is after 4pm.
Short stays considered. Also contact us for longer rentals and possible discount.

Notes on accommodation
There is a travel cot, changing mat, high chair and buggy for a baby/toddler as we have stayed often ourselves with a toddler and we're quite familiar with the child friendly people, restaurants and many play areas. Great situation, the balcony being glazed, overlooking the garden and pool, which has no chlorine, it's much healthier for little ones. The private terrace has a locking gate. Sorry No Pets and no smoking inside the apartment - thank you. Long term winter lets available - electric radiators. Separate room fans for the summer. We also provide a vacuum cleaner, hairdryer, toaster and theres a smoke alarm and fire blanket for safety.
Outside
The open private terrace for outdoor dining or catching some sun has table, 4 chairs and umbrella, BBQ with potted tropical plants around. It has afternoon summer sun and brilliant sunsets. The pool is 7x18m with separate children's shallow area and outdoor shower. The complex is small (only 2 storeys high, mostly retired couples staying intermittently), it's never crowded and the pool/gardens are illuminated in the evenings.
Coast/Beach
2 minutes walk to the sandy beaches that stretch for miles both directions. The med sea calm for children and location perfect with easy access for lunch, siesta and a toilet stop!
Travel
Both Alicante and Valencia airports within an hours drive or taxi journey. Most amenities in walking distance but a car allows further exploration of a beautiful area.
Distances
2 minutes walk to the El Poblet shopping area, with Masymas supermarket, post-box and bars/restaurants. Bus stop there every 1/2 hour into Denia. Few mins to Aldi and a continental patisserie/cafe. Denia town centre: can walk to it along the beach or take a short cut through the streets & tunnel under the castle. Golf: La Sella and Oliva Nova courses within 15 mins drive. From Denia there's a meandering coastal walk on level paths to Las Rotas with many fish restaurants.
Further details
If the Benidorm coast looks a bit built up then head inland by up to an hour through olive, orange and nesbit groves to the magnificent mountain views of Guadalest or Parcent. Many restaurants perched on hilltops with authentic food. There's a list of good places/visits in the apartment. Locally there is go-karting, horse riding, cycle and quad hire, even trike hire. Also jet-skiing, wind surfing: all water sports. There are many festivals in Denia, the floats and processions are awesome. 5 January - Procession of the Three Wise Men from the port. Mid March -the Fallas (bonfire festivals) with typical Spanish dancing/dresses and bands in the streets. Mid June- Sant Joan bonfires with open air dancing and small fires along the beaches. End June - Fiestas in Saint Peter's street, in the seamens quarter, dancing and animation. For children: 15 mins drive away there's a safari park at Vergel. In Valencia is Europe's largest recreation area for art, science and "Oceanografico" marine park also "Bioparc" conservation animal park.
If you google earth the following latitude 38°51'4.75"N and longitude 0° 5'09.90"E you can see the complex, park and beach etc.
Booking notes
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the booking and balance payable 8 weeks before arrival. If the booking is less than 8 weeks away the full amount is payable at the time of booking. A £150 refundable security deposit will be returned on checking the property and safe return of the keys.
