This private luxury detached villa with 8 double/twin spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, offers generous living areas and grounds, ideal for large groups and families. On the lower level is a large private pool (which can be heated), surrounded by an extended sun terrace and mature gardens, with various fruit trees. Also situated on this level are four of the 8 bedrooms and the large recreation room with Freeview TV, games console and games table. On the upper level is the main house with four further bedrooms set over 3 floors. There is large open plan living area comprising a spacious lounge with Freeview satelite TV, fully equipped modern kitchen, and both indoor and outdoor dining areas. Two bedrooms are joined to form an individual suite, with a large bathroom and private terrace. The villa is in a peaceful elevated location, with fantastic sea and mountain views. Just outside the resort town of Torre del Mar, only 5 minutes from the beach and 45 minutes from Malaga airport.

Notes on prices
All prices are based on 1 week. 4 and 10 nights available out of the main season (April to October), as are discounts for occupying less rooms. Also the option to rent just the main villa (4 bedrooms). Please enquiry for prices.
Changeover day
Change over days in the summer months (July to September) is on a Saturday, but during off peak season we are more flexible, so better to check with us.

Notes on accommodation
All the bedrooms have air-conditioning/heating. The villa is tiled with marble throughout which keeps the living area cool in the summer. The villa is very light and airy with many windows looking out on fantastic views. Here children are very safe as the place has a high surrounding wall with only one locked gate, making it very relaxing for parents. The electric in the villa is on a metre. Ample is provided for your stay, however if there is excessive usage then a top up may be required. This will result in an extra charge being made to the guests. This would only occur if the system is abused.
Accessibility
This property is not suitable for people with mobility problems due to the steps from the entrance gate and again from the lower level to the main villa.
Outside
The outside consists of mature gardens with numerous fruit trees and tropical flowers and plants. There is a covered patio area outside the villa for alfresco dinning with a marble table and chairs, also a very large sun terrace with a table and chairs. Downstairs there is a large patio which surrounds the swimming pool, which has many sun loungers. There is also a gas barbecue. The pool is a large kidney shape (size), fitting 12 people in at once with no problems. The pool can be heated at your request and incurs an extra charge of £150 per week.
This villa is situated in a very quiet area with views of both the mountains and the beach. It has high walls surrounding it with only one locked access gate which makes it very safe for children. Not been over looked by any other villa's and with plenty of parking on the road outside which is only used by a handfull of people, makes it the perfect place to stay and relax.
Coast/Beach
The beach is only 5 mins drive from the villa. The beach is located in Torre del mar which boast the longest promenade in Malaga. There are many beach bars and restaurants and the town is very typically Spanish. The beaches are clean and you will find free sports and exercise equipment to use and also ping pong tables, volley ball courts and children's play area's. There is plenty of parking in and around the beach area. There is also a small marina at the far end of the town called Caleta.
Golf
There are 2 golf course's within 20 mins drive. The first is Baviera which is less than 10 mins drive from the villa and is a well maintained 18 hole golf course. The second is Anoreta which is 20 mins drive from the villa and again is a well maintained golf course having amazing views of the mountains and sea.
Skiing
Sol y Nieve is in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, just 90 mins drive from the villa. This ski resort successfully hosted the 1996 World Ski Championships. The Sierra Nevadas can offer a long season, from early December through to early May, and with snow cannons covering 32km of piste, you are almost guaranteed good snow. With 87km of piste: 11 green, 36 blue, 35 red and 5 black runs, served by a good network of 24 lifts with a current capacity of nearly 48,000 passengers / hr, there should be enough to keep intermediates happy for a few days.
There is also plenty to do off the slopes. In the small resort town of Pradollano, non-skiers can perfect their spins on the ice rink or relax in the Turkish steam bath at the Montebajo Sports Club. On a fine day, take the lift onto the mountain and relax on the sunny terrace of one of the many restaurants, while admiring the spectacular views that stretch across the Mediterranean to the Atlas Mountains in Morocco.

Travel
The villa is just 45 mins / 30km east of Malaga airport, just off the main coast road. Car hire is highly recommended due to the location of the villa on a small hill and access to the town, otherwise taxis can be used and most of them do speak English. There is a large taxi rank in the centre of the town.
Distances
The main town of Torre del Mar is just 5 mins in a car and not only has the beach but also all the shops, supermarkets restaurants and night life. Nerja is just 30 mins drive east of the villa with the famous caves to look around and also many more beaches. Granada is just over 1 hrs drive away with the Alhambra palace and famous tapas bars. Malaga city is just 30 mins drive West and is a very historic city with a hugh variety of shops and restaurants.
Further details
We have an extensive knowledge of this area having lived and worked here for many years. In our opinion the best supermarket is 'Mercadona' situated just on entering the town of Torre del mar. The nearest bars and restaurants are in the town as well or there is a typical Spanish bar/restaurant in Almayate (next village) called 'Pepe Molina's'. Here you can often see the local bulls been shoed (yes they still use bulls to work the fields). There are numerous banks in Torre but they are only open Monday to Friday from 8.30am til 2pm. There are plenty of cash points doted around the town. We can inform you of many leisure activities and sports and inside the villa is a booklet of information. There is a waterpark only 10 mins drive away but we recommend the water park in Torromelinos due to it's size and facilities. We are always happy to recommend places. The Alhambra palace (home of Henry VIII's first wife) is around 1 hrs drive away but you do have to book tickets well in advance and this can be done on the internet.
The shops are open from 10am til 2pm reopening again at 5pm til 8pm. Restaurant open in the evening from 7pm til late into the night. There is a wide choice from fish restaurants to typical Spanish, Thai, Chinese and international cuisine.
Booking notes
We require 25% deposit to secure the booking with full payment 8 weeks before arrival. We also take £750 security deposit which will be refunded within 1 week. The villa has to be vacated by 10am on the day of departure and will be available from 3pm on the day of arrival.

About the owner
The villa where you will be staying was our family home for 6 years. We moved to Spain to run a taylor made activity holiday company. The guests stayed at the villa with us and we arranged and completed all activities as well as offering the guests full board and accommodation. In September 2009 our plans completely changed as Su had our 2nd son and we were unable to carry on the business with a small baby. We now live fairly close by and have extensive knowledge of the area and what is available. We are very happy to help you in any way we can and from previous guests from the business we have never been beaten yet for finding just what everyone is looking for. There is myself (Sam) and my wife Su and our 2 son's Arun and Cayden.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We brought this property due to its size, location and grounds. The property is not overlooked by anyone and is in a really quiet urbanization just outside the main town but close enough to everything. The pool is a really good size. The other reason we brought here is that this area of Spain is very typical Spanish with not many English bars and a real Spanish feel to the place.
Unique benefits of the property
We enjoyed living here as it was so close to everything, bars shops banks etc but we were far enough away to have a peaceful life. This villa also has en-suites with nearly all of the rooms so there is no problem with guests waiting for the bathroom. The mature gardens are also fantastic and past guests can't believe the amount of fruit they can choose to eat direct off the trees which is all organic. The views are also outstanding.
