The villa is situated in a wooded valley with views to the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the surrounding countryside. It has a lovely pool of 8 x 4 metres with sunbathing area. There are numerous terraces for dining or relaxing with a glass of the local vino. The villa has a double storey lounge with gallery, large fully equipped kitchen, formal dining room and four double bedrooms, 3 of which are en suite. It is very spacious with marble floors and tasteful decor. Hot water is provided by an oil heating system, mains water and electricity, there is a wood burner in the lounge-not that it is required in the summer months! The villa is geographically situated on the boundaries of Cordoba, Granada and Malaga provinces and is known as the crossroads of Andalucia. This ensures easy access to major cities and to lots of white villages. The nearby town of Iznajar is full of history and was occupied by the Moors, there is a castle, medieval church and typical narrow whitewashed streets.

Notes on accommodation
The area is part of the Subbettica which is one of Spains National parks and is stunningly beautiful. The house is tucked away for maximum privacy but access to the main road, motorway network and the local villages is easy. Internet access is only available via mobile phone or computer dongle or in the village of Iznajar at 2 Internet shop.
Accessibility
The area is not flat and the house is built into the hillside and there are steps to access the property from the garage and parking area. This would make disabled access difficult but not impossible.
Outside
The pool is not heated and is usable fom May to October, it is 8 metres by 4 metres and 1 metre deep at the shallow end and 2 metres deep at the deep end. It is surrounded by non slip tiling with 4 sunloungers provided and 4 chair relaxers. There is a gas barbecue area and covered dining terrace for alfresco eating. The low maintenance garden has mature plants and pots to provide colour in the summer months.
Coast/Beach
It is approximately 50 minutes drive to the nearest beach at Malaga, Torremolinos, Fuengirola or Benalmadena. There is also a man made beach on the lake in Iznajar.

Golf is 40 minutes away at Antequera Golf club
Skiing
Skiing is 1 hour away in the Sierra Nevada Mountains

I am a retired training professional living in the UK and Spain and have owned the villa for 9 years. I am usually on hand all summer to assist holidaymakers with information about the area and ensure that the house meets the standards required. Every year the house is decorated and maintained to a good standard. References can be provided from former holidaymakers if required. The villa is my family home and has every facility to enjoy a relaxing holiday in a beautiful quiet location.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
The area is a National Park and the scenery is beautiful and quiet. The lake at Iznajar is 7 kilometres away and the views are quite spectacular. The people are friendly and welcoming and the food is fresh and much is grown locally. The house is set in acres of olive groves with views to the Sierra Nevada mountains. The city of Cordoba is only 1 hours drive away as is Granada and Malaga. Seville is 2 hours away with good motorway access to the whole of Spain.
