The apartment is situated on the 2nd floor accessed by stairs, The apartment has an intercom at the front door where you can buzz visitors in, it is in the hallway in the apartment behind the front door.
Outside
The apartment has a beautiful and unusual, communal rooftop pool and terrace. Pool area - beautiful, private, terraced pool area on ground floor. Overlooked by apartments so very safe to keep an eye on any children you have with you. Rooftop solarium - large terraced area on rooftop with sun loungers, tables and chairs and barbecue area. Lovely views over the village and perfect for evening entertaining.
Coast/Beach
There are many beaches within a 15 min drive, some are quiet and tranquil, others have water sports and are livelier. They all have a bar or restaurant and are kept very clean.
Golf
San Miguel de Salinas is fairly infamous for its lovely golf courses and there are 4 within easy driving distance. (From just 10 mins drive). If you are interested there are some useful websites you can access for further information please contact owner for details.
Travel
Nearest airports are Murcia (San Javier) - 30km (approx 30 minutes) and Alicante 45 km (approx 45 minutes). Car hire is available at the airports and also locally to the Village. (Further information is available on request). There is a local bus service into Torrevieja and surrounding areas. Alicante is also accessible by car and Barcelona can be visited with a short flight at a very reasonable price.

About the owner
My husband and I live in County Durham England, we have 2 children and 3 grandchildren and we are a very close family. We bought our apartment in San Miguel in 2003 the previous year we went to our friends house in the same region and just loved it. The place, the people, the laid back way of life, it was just so relaxing we didn't want to come home. The following year we went back and decided this was for us we wanted some of this lifestyle so we started looking for our own bit of paradise and we found it in San Miguel de Salinas (Saint Michael of the Salt Lakes), on the Costa Blanca. One of the healthiest places to live in the world so we're told, because of the salt lakes.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We wanted to be in a typical Spanish village, near to the beaches but near to the countryside as well and San Miguel is both of these. It has everything you need, shops, bars and restaurants and the people are friendly and welcoming. The village is 45 mins from Alicante and 30 mins from Mucia Airports and most of the budget airlines fly to one or both very reasonably, we usually fly with Easyjet.
Unique benefits of the property
The Apartment is on the outskirts of the village looking over the countryside, but within a few minutes walk you have cafes, bars, shops and restaurants including, El Prados, Market St, Chinese Wok Buffet then there's Dona Isabella which is a fabulous Spanish restaurant, but there are many more besides.
There are many supermarkets both Spanish and an English one (if you prefer), paper shop, bakeries and every Wednesday there is a Market at the top of our road where you can grab a bargain.

We also have 4 golf courses from a 10 min drive away, horse riding and go-karting. More information on all of this is in the apartment.
