Villa tranquila enjoys breathtaking 360 degree views of the pine clad hills and down to the Mediterranean sea. The stars in the night sky are simply stunning. Not overlooked, this is the perfect setting for a honeymoon or hideaway. The Moorish styled covered patio is ideal for relaxing out of the heat of the afternoon sun and is also equipped with table and chairs for up to 8 people for alfresco dining with the bbq close by. Here you will experience the 'real Spain', refreshingly unspoiled by tourism. The local bars and restaurants still provide a free tapa with a drink. The nearest bars and restaurants are 5 mins away at puntalon and yes a car is essential. There are many places of interest not too far away to visit for a day out. The surrounding hills are perfect for walking and bird watching and the wild spring flowers are in abundance in spring.

Bathrooms: 1 Large Family Bathroom with Bidet Washbasin etc. also houses washing machine. Large walk-in shower, wash basin etc. en-suite to 1st Bedroom.
Kitchen: A fully equipped kitchen suitable for long stays as well as holiday lets.
Living Rooms: Sitting room with comfortable seating for 8, corner fireplace and wood burning stove makes it cosy in winter. Extra heating is available. Dining Table and seating for 8 with an American Bar separating the eating area from the kitchen. Satellite TV radio

Outside
The Floodlit Pool is completely private and measures 4 x 6 metres and is 1 metre deep at the shallow end and 2 metres deep at the opposite end but being unfenced is not ideal for children under 6. There is a large Pool area with Lounger Chairs and Cushions for Sunbathing. Also plenty of Parking space inside the villa gates.

Coast/Beach
A ten minute drive will find Motril's Beaches which are never crowded even in the height of the summer. 15 minutes will find Salobreña, which caters a little more for English and children's appetites. All along the Granada coastline there are secluded caves and beaches waiting to be discovered.

Golf
The local Golf Course 'Los Mariscos' is situated on the sea front between Motril & Salobreña approximately 15 minutes by car.

Skiing
Just an hour or so away, on the slopes of the Sierra Nevada, you can ski or Snowboard from December through April.
You could be skiing in the morning and be sunbathing on the beach in the afternoon.

Travel
A car is essential. Nearest airport is Granada and the villa is a 75 mins drive South of Granada.
Then, Malaga approximately one and a quarter hours drive and thirdly Almeria which is roughly an hour and a half away.

Further details
The climate is sub tropical, sheltered from the northern winds by the Sierra Nevada and close to the coast of Africa. This enables the growing of exotic fruits such as avocados, bananas, mangos and custard apples as well as the citrus fruit family and only place in Europe where Sugar Cane is grown.
Eating out, there is an amazing number and variety of local restaurants and bars to enjoy. This is the only area now in Spain where the local bars still give a free Tapa (a bite of food) to be enjoyed when buying a beer or a similar drink.
Golf course, Horse Riding, Walking/Hiking, Bird watching, Drive up to the Alpujarras and visit the whitewashed villages in the area made famous by Chris Stewart in his book `Driving over Lemons`.
Closer at home, The American Park, The Sugar Museum, Tuesday & Friday Markets and the Indoor Municipal Market in Motril.
Marina & Yacht club at the Port of Motril.
Not forgetting `Sol y Nieve` for skiing and surf boarding from November to April. It`s possible to ski in the morning and be basking on the beach in the sun in the afternoon.
Local Sports include Tennis, Mountain Biking, 4x4 Safaris & Excursions, Quad Biking, Paragliding, Swimming, Snorkelling, Scuba Diving, Skiing & SurfBoarding.

Booking notes
A 30% Deposit secures a Booking. The Balance is due 6 weeks prior to Holiday.
Well behaved pets are welcome. I large pet dog £25 per week. 1 small dog no charge - 2 small dogs £25 per week. Using sofa beds and sleeping 8 in High Summer the price is £995 per week.
