Outside
There are many swimming pools on Hacienda Riquelme with the nearest being directly behind the apartment which is less than 30 seconds walk away. Each pool has a pool side area suitable for sun loungers and some have
children's pools as well. Just choose which one you like best!
This fantastic apartment is situated in a peaceful corner of this prestige golf development but within easy reach of the resort facilities including a range of childerns play areas, supermarket, bars and restaurant. These are all within an easy stroll and the converted Hacienda centre is no more than ten minutes walk away.
Coast/Beach
The apartment is 15 minutes drive from the nearest beach and has access to a whole range of fantastic beaches all within 30-40 minutes drive on both the Mar Menor lagoon and the Costa Calida itself, dependent on what you are looking for. The area is renowned for long, safe, clean, gently sloping sandy beaches which are ideal for families of all ages or for the more energetic a variety of water sports are available.
Golf
As part of Polaris World, you have access to 5 different world class golf courses, all designed by Jack Nicklaus and known as the Nicklaus Trail. The Hacienda Riquelme course is the longest and most challenging with wide fairways lined with olive trees and native pines. There are three lakes and too many bunkers! The other courses are within a half hour's drive or you can take the free shuttle bus service. Discounted green fees are available for residents at all Polaris World courses.
Travel
Murcia airport is a 15 minute drive and with Alicante airport only an hour away or Almeria 2 hours away, the transfer to the apartment is quick and easy. All these airports are used by the low cost airlines such as Jet2, Ryanair, Easyjet giving easy access to the region from many of the UK's regional airports. Car hire is recommended and all types of vehicles can be booked for collection at your arrival airport. At the apartment reserved parking is available in the underground garage.
Distances
The nearest town, Sucina is an easy 2 minute drive away, where there is a larger supermarket, bars, restaurants and local shops.
Further details
As the region's capital Murcia itself is a splendid old city and well worth a day's visit (30 mins away). Cartagena is 45 mins drive and is a beautiful coastal town combining a modern harbour area with the old city centre complete with lovely shops. There is a small but comprehensive supermarket on site to cater for most needs. There are a variety of larger supermarkets within an easy drive. One of the best of these is at the Dos Mares complex in San Javier which also provides designer shops, food hall, bowling alley and cinema.
On Hacienda Riquelme there is the Dovecote bar providing drinks and ice creams in a relaxed area, El Cason restaurant and bar gives access to a variety of bar snacks or a more formal dining experience. A regular complimentary bus service links the other existing Polaris
World sites, allowing you to eat in an extended range of establishments without having to worry about taking the car.
Within 5 minutes drive is the town of Sucina where there are some good local bars and restaurants, or slightly further away there is an excellent array of international restaurants including an Indian, Chinese and Mexican.
