The apartment is situated on the third floor and has been refurbished to a very high standard. It has the best views of coast and Park. There are two single beds in the bedroom, also a 14 inch television. The bathroom consists of a walk in shower, new toilet and vanity unit, there is also a top loading washing machine within the bathroom. The kitchen has a 4 burner gas hotplate a combination microwave, electric toaster and kettle. Within the lounge there is a sofa bed which converts into two single beds, privacy is maintained by a door on the lounge, Making it ideal for two couples sharing. There is a 21in television,a DVD Player, Sky television is provided by my own satellite dish which will receive all free to view channels. An air conditioning unit providing both hot and cold air via a coin meter.The balcony has been 2/3 glazed in leaving room to sun bathe on the balcony. The apartment is very convenient situated for all restaurants, bars, and visits to well known tourist sights.

Changeover day
The changeover day is flexible. The arrival time at the apartment is to be no earlier than 2 pm. Departure from the apartment is to be no later that 10 am these times are require in order for the cleaner to prepare the apartment for the next guests.

Bedrooms: Bedroom with twin Ottaman Beds, the mattresses are of the memory foam variety, very comfortable.
Within one of these beds is a childs cot and mattress.
There is a large wardrobe and portable television which will receive 6 Sky channels.
Bathrooms: Walk in shower, vanity unit, toilet, upright washing machine with 800 spin, 80 litre hot water cylinder providing plenty of hot water (most apartments only have 50 litres).
Kitchen: Combination microwave, ie microwave, convection oven, grill.
4 burner hotplate, electric toaster, electric kettle. Refrigerator.
Utility Room: Within the hall cupboard is a iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner - and freezer, which is ideal for long lets.
Living Rooms: The lounge benefits from a 21 in television and receives all free to view channels via my own private satellite dish there is a music centre, a DVD player and numerous DVD films.
There is an air conditioning unit providing both heating and cooling.
Other: The balcony has been 2/3 glazed in, leaving room for sun bathing. There is a table and chairs on the balcony for meals.

Towels and linen is provided for the duration of your stay, however you will have to provide your own beach/pool towels.
The property will be cleaned at the beginning of your stay and when you leave in readiness for the next guests.

Notes on accommodation
Heating is provided via a quarts Halogen 3 bar heater and air conditioning unit.
The only access into the apartment is via the front door. This door is extremely secure although it appears to be a nice UPVC door it is in fact, a steel door with a superb locking system it has 20 locking points.
The apartment will receive incoming calls. The number of the apartment from the UK is 0034 952442444. This will connect you with reception, when you get through ask for apartment 308 and you will be put through to the Apartment. This facility is ideal especially if you need to be in contact with your family at home.
The apartment benefits from the following list not normally found in letting apartments:-
Two televisions (some apartments you have to hire a tv).High security front door, 80 litre water system, DVDplayer, own Sky system, Air con, Combi microwave, washing machine,Glazed in Balcony, Music centre, Numerous DVD films, Freezer, vacuum cleaner. Orthopedic foam beds, Ceiling fans.

Accessibility
The complex has been adapted for wheelchair access. However the ramps are quite steep, my wife uses a mobility scooter and surrounding area is very good for wheelchair access. It is possible to access the apartment with a wheelchair provided you can manage the steep slope.

Outside
The gardens are shared by the four buildings of the Gamanol. Aguila, Iris, Hercules and Agata. These gardens are probably the largest private gardens on the Costa Del Sol. For when they were built, land was not at a premium unlike some of the new developments today. Access to these gardens are via a security gate in order to keep these gardens private.
There a four swimming pools and two children paddling pools.
Sunbeds and Parasols are available for hire at the pool.
There a number of large trees in the gardens giving natural sunshade. These gardens and pool are well maintained.
Food and drink can be purchased at the snack bar in the garden.

Coast/Beach
The closest beach is approximately a 15 minute walk from the apartment, although the whole of the beaches from Torremolinos to Gibraltar are excellent.
My favorite beach is Cabo Pino which has a small marina and beautiful sandy beach, this is where the beach scenes were shot for the series Eldorado.
The Benalmadena Marina is one of the finest in Europe.You can easily walk it in 30 minutes or take a taxi form the Rank outside the apartment.There are many water sports available

Golf
There are 50 courses on the Costa del Sol,So many it would be very difficult to itemise the distance and qualities of each of the courses, I have played approximately 10 of these courses and found them excellent. You will need your handicap card with you. Also they do not accept steel spikes these will have to be replaced with plastic. The closest course is about a 10 min drive away and the furthest is about 50 miles away (Valderama) second mortgage £200+/round.
Guadahorce is probably my favorite as it has both an 18 hole course and a 9 hole par 3 course. Approx 20 Euro for the par 3.

Skiing
The Sierra Nevada ski resort has numerous runs of varying difficulties to satisfy all levels of skiers. Natural snow is supplemented by snow cannons on some runs, and many skiers are pleasantly surprised to find that, because of its southerly position, the air temperature is usually warmer than other resorts.
Depending on the snow levels, the season generally runs from the end of November or the beginning of December until sometime in April.

Travel
The nearest airport is Malaga, The easiest way to get from the airport is by taxi.The cost of the taxi should be 25 euros.
The train is the cheapest way of travel,The station is aprox 500 metres from the airport within close proximity to the terminal building.The train runs every half hour between Malaga and Fuengirola.
Public transport is excellent, and if you like you can do without a car although car hire is relatively inexpensive.

Granada (Alhambra Palace) approximately 2.5 hours by car.
Sierra Nevada (Skiing) 3 hours by car
Ronda (oldest Bull ring in Spain) approx 1.5 hours by car
Hipodrome, La Cala (horse racing) Tote betting 30 Mins by car.
Gibraltar 1.5 hours by car.
Torrequabrada golf course 15 minutes by car
Benalmadena marina 30min by foot
El Choro lakes 1 hour by car.
La Guna de Piedra (flamingo lake) 2.5 hours by car
Mijas 30 mins by car.

Further details
Benalmadena Costa has excellent bars, night clubs, cabaret and dancing venues. There are bars hosting nightly quizzes, karaoke and bingo. Many bars have large screen TVs and show all the main sporting events. Bonanza Square with its lively atmosphere has loads of restaurants, bars and clubs. At the Puerto Marina which is about 30 mins walk away you will find a great choice of restaurants, bars and nightclubs in fact something to suit all ages and tastes. Tivoli World in Arroyo de La Miel is a Spanish theme park with rides, Flamenco dancing and evening concerts. From here you can take a ride on the cable car to the mountain top and take in the breathtaking views all the way down to the Rock of Gibraltar.

Paloma Park is within walking distance and is beautiful to stroll around. There is a large lake and you can see all kinds of wildlife there - cockerels, chickens, rabbits, peacocks to name but a few of creatures that share the park, it is also the home to the Sea Lions and Selwo Dolphins who perform there daily. There are two excellent water parks nearby in Torremolinos and Fuengirola (Mijas Costa) which are easy to get to and a fun day out for all the family. On the beach there are many water sports that you can take part in, including speed-bikes, pedalos and paragliding. Fishing trips are available from the Marina and the Port at Fuengirola and there are also daily boat trips from the marina
There are many places of interest. Locally you may care to visit the quaint ancient town of Mijas, the renowned Zoo in Fuengirola, the new marina at Benalmadena or Tivoli World (mini Disney world) and cable car with wonderful mountain top view.
Further afield there is the city of Malaga with shops and museums, the pretty seaside town of Nerja with famous caves, the picturesque ancient mountain town of Ronda, and then, of course, there is the Rock of Gibraltar. These and many other destinations are readily accessible by public transport.

About the owner
My name is Geoff Herbert, I have owned an apartment in Aguila complex, Costa Del Sol since November 1985. Each year I have seen the area improve. The apartment for rental is my wives we purchased it from a friend and when they purchased another property we decided to buy it so that my family could use it as the same time as we were in residence. My daughter now lives in France and our spare time is normally visiting my family in France or in Spain so that we can be close to our Grandchildren. The apartment is only for families or couples, who will hopefully respect our second apartment.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
A friend had recommended the area, I visited approximately 10 properties in the area and was pleased with the area ,This apartment has been used by myself and my family.Now my daughter lives in France it is only a drive from her home whenever she wants to use it provided its available. The weather has been fantastic and is definitely beneficial for anybody who suffers from Rheumatoid Athritous. Dr Khan consultant is always advocating to go out to Spain.I have always found that the cost of living in Spain to be considerably cheaper than the UK although this is changing because of the Euro However it is still much cheaper to live in Spain than either UK or France.I liked the area as you are right in the heart of things, fine restaurants ,Golf and many fine views of the countryside.

Unique benefits of the property
Improvement in heath due to the dry weather. With the high security door I can leave the apartment and know that the property is very secure. As I have been an owner for the past 24 years I know most people in the bloque and have become close friends to a number of the owners. With the low cost of eating out we tend to eat in one night and go out for a meal another night, all the restaurants are in easy walking distance. There are a number of bars with different acts on nightly. Entry is free although the drink are slightly dearer to pay for the act.
