The pretty whitewashed town of Salobrena erupts from a lush tropical plain and is capped with a 10th century Moorish castle. Where else can you enjoy the snow capped Sierra Nevada whilst strolling on the beach in the sunshine? With a well equipped kitchen, a comfortable living room with satellite television, a bathroom, 2 bedrooms and located just 1 hour from Malaga and 45 minutes from Granada this is an ideal base to explore southern Spain. Located in a purpose built residential block, there are shops, bars and restaurants on the doorstep.

Changeover day
We attempt to be as flexible as possible regarding changeover days. The apartment will be available from 4pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure.

Bedrooms: Bedroom 1. Double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, electric heater, ceiling fan, Juliette balcony and open views.
Bedroom 2. Twin beds, wardrobe, electric heater and ceiling fan.
Bathrooms: The fully tiled bathroom has wc, wash hand basin, bidet, bath with shower over and electric wall heater. There is also a separate wc with wash hand basin.
Kitchen: The fully fitted kitchen has oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer, kettle and toaster. Everything you should need.
Utility Room: The separate utility area houses the washing machine, iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner etc.
Living Rooms: The bright living room has 3 piece suite, sideboard and dining area. The tv has UK and Spanish channels there is also a radio/cd player. There is air-con for the Summer and a heater for the Winter. The balcony has open views across the tropical plain.

The property is cleaned before each arrival and all towels and linen are provided. Additional cleaning and laundry services are available at an extra charge.

Notes on accommodation
The apartment is in a residential block with the neighbours being local professionals. We therefore suggest the property is not suitable for families with young children.

Accessibility
The property is located on the second floor but is serviced by a lift so access is not a problem.

Outside
There is a small balcony off the living room. There is also access to a large communal terrace.

Coast/Beach
The beach is only a 10-15 minute stroll away. Salobrena's wide beach is split in two by El Penon rock and boasts several 'chiringuitos' (beach bars), popular restaurants and bars, gift shops, and facilities such as pedalo, jet ski, sunbed and sunshade hire. From Salobrena it is possible to enjoy walks along the coast in one of the few remaining attractive rural areas in southern Spain, where sugar cane grows and nature has not been pushed aside by over development.

Golf
Los Moriscos beachside golf course is just a 5 minute drive away in Motril but there are also more golf courses around Malaga and Granada.

Skiing
The Sierra Nevada, Europe's most southerly ski resort, is just 90 minutes drive from Salobrena. Where else can you ski in the morning and then sun yourself on a Mediterranean beach in the afternoon whilst enjoying free tapas?

Travel
Salobrena is about an hour by car from Granada airport and around 75 mins from Malaga airport. Almeria airport is also just over 90 mins away. Excellent local transport means that car hire is not essential and we can also arrange private pick-ups from Malaga/Granada.

Distances
The historic city of Granada and the beautiful Alhambra palace are under an hours drive, at the foot of the beautiful Sierra Nevada, while the bustling city of Malaga is around an hour away. There are regular bus services to these cities and beyond from Salobrena. The local towns of Motril and Almunecar are a short drive/bus journey away boasting a variety of shops, bars, restaurants and leisure activities.

Booking notes
A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking with the remainder being due 6 weeks prior to departure. Payment to be made in pounds sterling directly into UK bank account or in Euros direct to Spain. A £100/100 euros security deposit is required upon arrival at the apartment.
