Coast/Beach
The beautiful blue flag beach is approximately 5 minutes away by car. It stretches for 17 kilometres and gently slopes so is ideal for bathing.
Golf
Golfers will find several golf courses within easy reach, the nearest being La Marquesa situated at Rojales, about 5 miles away. Las Ramblas, Villa Martin, a championship course and Campomar are within a 20 minute drive. The famous golf courses at La Manga are about 45 minutes drive away.
Travel
20 minutes drive from Alicante airport. A number of low cost airlines fly in. A car is not essential but is advised to make the most of your holiday. A lift to and from the airport can be arranged for approx 44 euros return.
Distances
All amenities are within easy reach including supermarkets, restaurants, bars and banks. Eating out locally is varied and inexpensive. The lovely Spanish seaside resort of Guadamar is only 10 mins drive away. There are good links to Benidorm and Denia to the north and Mar Menor in the south. The Terra-Mitica theme park near Benidorm is approx 45 minutes drive. There is also Aqualandia and Mundomar(sea world) close by. Slightly inland through the Veja valley is the beautiful old town of Elche.
Further details
There is an abundance of wildlife close at hand with the Salinas de Santa Pola having one of the largest flocks of flamingos in Spain and the famous El Hondo nature reserve close by. The picturesque mountain village and lake at Guadalest is approx 45 minutes drive.
