The apartment is built in the Spanish style and is situated in the much sought after complex of Verano Azul. Having one of the best positions in the complex,the property sleeps 2 to 4 persons, has one spacious bedroom with twin beds, a living room/dining room with 4ft sofa bed, a separate well equipped kitchen and a bathroom with bath and shower. The living room opens on to a south facing terrace with views of the sea and small pool. A spiral staircase takes you to the spacious, private rooftop terrace with lovely sea and mountain views. This area is perfect for sunbathing as it gets sun all day.

Flexible. Available from 5p.m. on day of arrival, vacate by 10am on day of departure (may be flexible if it is not a changeover day, please enquire).

The apartment is cleaned and prepared before arrival. Linen and towels are provided, changed weekly. A welcome pack of basic groceries is also included. A cleaning service is available for long stays at a small extra charge, if required.

Notes on accommodation
Air-conditioning unit also has heating facility. Items available for hire are cot £15, highchair £7.50 (per week).

Accessibility
No lift, so not suitable for wheelchair users or anyone with severe walking difficulties. Access by concrete stairs to first floor.

Outside
Terrace with dining seating for 4 and barbecue. Private rooftop terrace with sun loungers. Complex has two lovely swimming pools, open all year, and is surrounded by well planted gardens. There is access to parking space all around the complex.

Coast/Beach
Burriana Beach is a 10 minute walk. This is the main, and largest, beach in Nerja, with adjacent restaurants. There are also other smaller beaches within easy walking distance.

Golf
Baviera Golf at Velez-Malaga, 15 minute drive.

Travel
50 kms from Malaga airport, about 45 minutes by car. Taxi can be arranged at a cost of €65 each way. Car not essential. Good local bus service to neighbouring towns and attractions, as well as destinations further afield, such as Malaga, Granada and Seville.

Distances
Frigiliana 6 kms, Maro 4 kms, Nerja caves 4 kms.
Balcon de Europa about 15 minutes walk.

Further details
There are 3 supermarkets close to the complex and a bakery across the road. Plenty of bars and good restaurants within easy walking distance. Numerous banks with ATM's in the town centre. Good bus service to neighbouring towns and attractions.

Booking notes
£100 deposit required to secure the booking (£50 for single weeks in the winter). Balance about 6 weeks before departure. Discount for long stays (3 weeks or more) at all times of the year.

About the owner
I live on the outskirts of Liverpool with my husband, Rodney, and our cat Narnia. We both work so enjoy our holidays but wish we had time for more, particularly at our apartment in Nerja. We enjoy sightseeing, walking and local culture, wherever we holiday.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We fell in love with Nerja when we first visited in 1993 and decided to look for an apartment to buy on our third visit. We like the fact that, although it is a tourist resort, it is still very Spanish, and we mingle with the locals. There are many lovely restaurants with almost every cuisine catered for, along with many Spanish traditional restaurants and tapas bars. There are many quaint villages and towns within easy driving distance, or a good bus service for those not wishing to hire a car. There is a good motorway link from Malaga airport.

Unique benefits of the property
We liked the Verano Azul complex because it is quiet, with no noisy bars on site, and has lovely gardens. The pools do not get crowded either. The apartment also appealed to us as it has sea and mountain views.
