Casita Rosa 'Little Pink House' extremely well positioned within this beautiful typically Spanish, coastal village. The property is south facing and has been furnished to a very high standard, including a outdoor lounge area, with rattan furniture and 32" TV with SKY. A 5 mins walk from the property will take you to a number of bars, restaurants, supermarkets and beaches. The resort comes to life in July/August, outside of these times the resort is very tranquil and relaxing. The blue flag awarded beaches are quiet, golden with safe shallow waters. San Juan is an excellent base to explore surrounding area's with the Spanish town of Aquilas a 10 min drive north, fishing villages of Villaricos and Garrucha 15/20 mins south. A 20-25 min drive along a quiet coastal road, with breathtaking views will take you to Vera/Mojacar Playa and the hilltop village of Mojacar Pueblo. 'Parque Acuatico' water park, Go karting x 2 circuits and "Mini Hollywood" all within easy driving distance.

Notes on prices
Our rental charges includes cleaning, bedding/bath/hand towels/air-con/gas/electric/water. When greater than 2 guests, there is an additional cost of between £35 - £50 charged, this is determined by the length of your stay. Within your enquiry, please provide preferred dates and no. of guests for your holiday. We will then confirm our rental charge. For the convenience of our guests, access to the property is given from arrival in San Juan, to the time you depart for your journey home.

Flexible - You will have access to the property upon arrival in the resort and until the time of departure for your flight home.

Other: Warm/cold air-conditioning units positioned within bedroom 1/ bedroom 2 and lounge/dining area. The property has a large amount of storage facilities, fitted wardrobes, drawers etc. A safe is provided for guests to use in bedroom 2.

Notes on accommodation
No smoking accommodation, failure to respect this will unfortunately result in forfeiture of the bond. Warm/cold air-conditioning in both bedrooms and lounge/dining area is included in the rental price and not charged as an additional cost, as is often found to be the case. Quality bedding included in rental charges (often this is chargeable as extras within accommodation in Spain). Hair dryer provided. Matching 'sun coast' reclining chairs and sunloungers provided (2 chairs/2 sunbeds) along with table and chairs for the front terrace. Regular guest feedback make reference to the standard of fixture and fittings, alongside how clean the property is. San Juan De Los Terreros is quite a unknown part of Spain for the British but considered an elite and popular resort for the Spanish to take holidays or weekend breaks - come and see for yourself, how other parts of Spain where many years ago and we are sure you will come back again!

Accessibility
Staircase leads to the roof top solarium with pleasant aspect including some sea and mountain views.

Outside
Communal swimming pools are located at the opposite end of the street (pool and baby pool), with a number of communal play area's for smaller children located within the urbanisation. The property comprises of a tiled terrace to the front of the property with a table and chairs. Immediately outside the property there is hassle free on street parking. As frequently found in Spain, the pool is not heated out of peak season.

Coast/Beach
Within 5 mins walk from the property you will find coves of clean golden beaches with a promenade running from the centre of San Juan, parallel with the main beaches in San Juan. Venture a little further, either on foot or by car and you will come across a number of alternative beaches, often with Chiringuito's, open during the day offering food and/or a welcome drink.
Want to see the surrounding area by Boat - private boat charter, complete with skipper can be arranged (up to 6 people)

Golf
San Juan has its own golf course 'golf Aguillon', comprising of an 18 hole, par 70 course with panoramic views over San Juan and its surrounding area. 'Desert springs' located in Cuevas De Almanzora, 25 mins drive away offers the first and only desert golf course in Europe, offering a 18 hole par 72 course.
'Marina Golf' Mojacar is a 18 hole 72 par course within 20 mins drive. Finally, 'Valle Del Este' which opened in 2002 is located within easy driving distance and offers 18 holes, par 71. Visit their individual web sites for further details of opening hours/prices.

Special interest holidays
Bird watching - the best time of the year for 'birdwatchers' is in Spring when you can see many wintering birds, together with those arriving for the Summer months. Places of interest inc. The Rio Almanzora Estuary 10km North of Garrucha
Embalse de Cuevas del Almanzora 10km North West of Cuevas del Almanzaora. Pueblo Laguna located on the Rio Antas estuary between Garrucha and Puerto Del Rey. The Vera Playa Badlands located inland. El Cortijo Grande Valley 5 km South West Of Turre in the Sierra Cabrera foothills.
Cabo de Gata: The reserve is also one of Europe's most important areas for breeding and over wintering birds and an important stopping-off point for migrating birds on the Africa-Europe route. Bird lovers must visit the 'Salinas de Cabo de Gata' saltwater lagoons, located between San Miguel and the Cabo de Gata headland. The lagoons are working salt pans which run parallel to the coast and separated by a 400m-wide sand bar.

Travel
San Juan De Los Terreros is located approx. 1 hours easy drive from San Javier (Murcia) or Almeria airport, Alicante 1.45 hours . Directions are provided prior to your arrival. The resort has a selection of shops, bars, restaurants and chiringuito's and therefore a car is not essential, however we recommend a car, to fully enjoy the surrounding area's San Juan has to offer. Alternatively, should you not wish to drive, private airport transfers can be arranged at very reasonable additional costs.

Distances
Aguilas a typical Spanish town, which offers multiple banks, shops, "plaza" shopping centre, harbour, castle and beaches is located 10 mins drive north. Villaricos, with two small harbours and Garrucha a spanish working town are within 15/20 mins south on the coastal road. Mojacar Playa/Pueblo, two very contrasting area's are 25 mins drive away. Sierra Cabrera, a unique moorish style village, with fantastic views is located 40 mins drive south - a great way to spend a relaxing afternoon.

Booking notes
To secure your chosen dates £100 non refundable deposit required at time of booking. Remaining balance, due 8 weeks prior to departure. A £200 bond is required per booking, assuming no damage has occurred this will be returned to you within 7 days following departure. Support in booking car hire/flights/airport transfers can be provided. As we regularly visit our 'place in the sun', we are not able to consider lets for greater than 8 weeks.

House is simply superb, area beautiful, information booklet was spot on.
Extremely clean, well equipped and high standard accommodation. Very relaxing break, quiet resort (visited in Feb) but just what we were looking for, great base to travel around by car the beautiful surrounding area.
San Juan is a little hidden gem, we will definitely return to San Juan and Casita Rosa. Lovely to find such a typical Spanish resort in mainland Spain-very clean accommodation with a much higher standard of furniture than we have previously experienced in holiday homes -we will definitely be back.
The standard of accommodation is 2nd to none - the location a beautiful part of Spain, within easy walk to restaurants and bars in the resort along with the beach - just as you had promised in your advert.
Great base to explore this untouched part of Spain, great opportunity to practice our Spanish.

About the owner
Having spent 3 years looking for our place in the sun, in September 2005, we came and fell in love with San Juan De Los Terreros and decided this was the place to purchase our holiday home. We purchased our property off plan and patiently waited 3 years for the property to be completed, during this time we visited San Juan every 6 months. This enabled us to see progress on our home and also to become familar with the area and what it has to offer. Although English is now widely spoken, 4 years ago this was not the case, pushing us to start learning the Spanish language.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
San Juan De Los Terreros is a very relaxing place, hence we try and spend time there every 6-8 weeks. Airports within reasonable driving distance inc. Murcia, Almeria and also Alicante and Granada. It also helps you can drive from the UK to Spain if you wish! San Juan is accessable to so many places, for example you can take a trip to Granada to visit the Alambra Palace or simply take a day out to ski. If you are looking for a good example of "old Spain", without high rise tower blocks or english breakfasts/fish and chips etc. this is definately the place to visit.
