La Exotica is a 4 bedroom villa on 2 levels, set in its own walled grounds. The garden area is large and allows for space for everyone. The outside barbecue and kitchen area is a fabulous place to eat and entertain with fridges and a hob so that you do not have to miss a minute of the sunshine whilst preparing a bit of lunch. The large covered terrace is a great place to escape the heat of the sun, have a beer or two and perhaps take advantage of the WIFI connection to face book a few friends back home. This property is ideal for a large family or group of friends, the two levels means that you are all staying at the same place but have the ability for your own privacy. The lower level is ideal for the less mobile or wheelchair user as there is no step. Approx 10 minutes walk from Nerja town, affording easy access to both the town and the beaches whether you choose to walk or drive.

Notes on prices
Longer term winter bookings are available at the villa. The price of 1495 pounds does not include electricity which will be accounted for monthly.
DURING THE HIGH SEASON MONTHS THE CHANGEOVER DAYS HAVE TO BE SATURDAY JUNE/JULY/AUGUST/SEPTEMBER. We will consider bookings that require changeover days to be different outside of this period. Debit and credit card payment accepted. Air-conditioning has a local charge of 70 euro per week. 25% deposit, balance 8 weeks before arrival.
Changeover day
Saturday to Saturday changeovers. Entrance at 1600 Departure at 1000. Flight times vary and we will try to accommodate but we need 4 hours to prepare villa so unless the arriving guests are late we can only allow late departures by arrangement.

Notes on accommodation
Broadband and WIFI facility. There is the facility of renting a car with the villa at a cost of 30 euros per day, this vehicle is a Hyundai atos that seats 5. The car cannot be collected at the airport and cannot be dropped off there.
This property was our family home and as such has had from young babies to disabled wheelchair users enjoy its facility and location.
Accessibility
The lower part of the villa was designed to accommodate wheelchair users or less mobile people. The bathroom has a walk in or wheel-in shower area with 850 wide doors on the lower level. From street level there are no steps to the lower level. Please note: the upper part of the house has steps to access.
Outside
The villa sits in its own walled garden on a plot of approx 600sqms. The pool is 10x4 and has a shallow end of 1200 (4ft) and a deep end of 1800 (6ft). There is a covered terrace and outside kitchen. The barbeque area has both gas hob, sink and fridges. 8 adult sunbeds are provided together with dining table and 8 chairs. The garden is private and safe. Upper terrace dining for 8 plus occasional seating and table.
Coast/Beach
Nerja is where the mountains meet the sea on the Eastern Costa del Sol, this provides for lots of coves and beaches that can be diverse as Spain itself. Nerja has 7 beaches and all can be walked to in under 15 mins the closest being Playazo 10 mins. If you roll up a towel and head off you will walk, if you take a cool box, pushchair, beach games umbrella etc you will need a car.
Golf
Baviera golf is 15 minutes drive. Anoreta golf is 20 minutes drive. Salobrena golf is 30 minutes drive. Granada golf is 60 minutes drive. Mijas, Marbella etc are 60 minutes drive.

Care and support can be provided for any client. Special interest holidays have been provided for guests that include Scuba Diving (PADI), Adventure, Golf, Keep Fit, Cookery, Please ask for details.
Travel
Malaga airport 35 mins. Almeria airport 75 mins. Seville airport 120 mins. Transfer from Malaga 4 people 85 euros Taxi. 8 people 110 euros by Taxi bus. Use of car is recommended if you intend to spend most of your time at the beach, if you are going to relax at the villa then not.
Distances
Less than 1.5 miles to centre of town. Caves of Nerja 3.5 miles. Burriana beach 2.5 miles. Balcon de Europa 1.5 miles. Granada 75 miles, Gibralta 150 miles.
Further details
The walk to the down will take approximately 10 mins. Nearest supermarket 5 mins. From the villa to any location in the town you will not be charged more than 8 Euros in a taxi so those wishing not to hire a car can know what transport costs could be.
Booking notes
Credit and debit cards accepted. Payment can be in sterling or euros. The rate of the day at the time of payment will be used for euro transactions. 25% deposit at the time of booking. Balance due 8 weeks before arrival. (non receipt of balance will constitute as breach of contract and we reserve the right to re-sell week). A 200euro damages deposit will need to be paid on arrival and this will be returned on departure. (if departure is very early the property will be checked night before).

About the owner
We have lived in Nerja for 8 years and have owned the villa since 2004. We hope that we provide a personal service to our guests at the villa that in the past has included running them to the supermarket to having a night out with them. We believe that you should enjoy your stay here and we will do our utmost to help. We can be invisible for the time that you are here or assist you, the choice is yours.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
Nerja is a small town with a population of 25,000. The easiest way to sum up the town is that it is completely safe. We do not receive large single sex groups as the large tour operators do not sell hotel rooms cheaply. It is a family location with lots of restaurants and wonderful tapas bars. English is widely spoken although any attempt at Spanish would be appreciated. The beaches are safe (blue flag) and sun beds are available for a small local charge.
Unique benefits of the property
The privacy that the villa offers whilst being a short walk to the town gives guests the benefit of both worlds. Once you have entered the gates to the villa you are within a completely walled location that means that you should you not want to see another person you can do so. The various terraces and garden area mean that it is possible to be with all the family and friends but still find a quiet location to read a book. The view from the upper terrace to the left is the mountains and to the right the sea and on a warm summer morning there is nothing like taking your morning coffee and admiring the view.
