Have you thought about visiting the lakes at Ardales, walking, biking or climbing at El Chorro, joining in Fiesta celebrations, visiting ancient ruins or soaking up the atmosphere with a glass of Rioja in the sunshine? Whatever you want from your holiday our holiday home is perfect for touring or relaxing. We have a lovely house in a typical Spanish street boasting delightful mountain views from a large roof top terrace, whilst a lower terrace has a spacious plunge pool, loungers, sunshades, BBQ and dining facilities. There is also an undercover dining area looking out to palm and lemon trees and beautiful plants adorning the garden. The narrow streets make walking (approx 5 mins) to the local town and railway station a pleasure. Parking is available outside the house. Malaga airport is only 35 mins away with car hire or train options. However, we do recommend hiring a car to make the most of your holiday in one of the most beautiful and interesting areas of inland Spain.

Coast/Beach
Coastal areas are 30 mins drive or 30 mins by direct line to Malaga with easy, quick connections to other coastal resorts.

Skiing
Sierra Nevada is approximately 2 hours drive.

Travel
Malaga airport is 30 mins drive. Car rental available at airport is recommended for visiting inland areas. The train is within walking distance (10 mins) as are buses.

Distances
Natural parks 10-15 mins. El Chorro gorge 20 mins. Ardales lakes 20 mins. Ronda 1 hour. Granada 1 hour 15 mins.

Further details
The local town has all the facilities you might require including banks, pharmacies, supermarkets, boutiques, shoes, grocers, butchers, fishmongers, fruiterers and newsagents. There are many restaurants and traditional bars for dining out in style, Sangria and tapas.

Booking notes
A deposit of 50% of the total cost is payable at the time of booking. The balance to be paid on arrival with a returnable 100 euros breakages deposit.

We really enjoyed our stay in Alora and every member of the family found plenty to do and see. The most popular part was the lakes-swimming and fishing- some great catches. About the owner
We bought the property several years ago and come for holidays at every opportunity and now would like to share our holiday home with others. There is so much to do and see and yet the atmosphere is relaxing. We like to be active and enjoy swimming, walking, biking and eating out.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We chose the property due to the location. It is away from the bustle of the coast but within a short distance for wonderful seaside days. It is centred in one of the most beautiful parts of inland Spain with something for everyone.

Unique benefits of the property
The property is convenient for town, trains,buses yet situated in a quiet residential area. It is perfect for touring and exploring Spain's history and culture or for staying put and soaking up the sunshine. It is a bonus to have a splash pool in the garden of a town house and two such large terraces giving wonderful views. The house is so large that there is enough room for different generations to party together or have their own space.
