The house is in Playa Flamenca on the Orihuela Costa, south Costa Blanca. 40 minutes south of Alicante airport and 20 minutes north of Murcia airport. Close to many local attractions and less than a mile to the beach. Furnished to high standard and fully equipped for up to 8 people. Ground floor: Large lounge/diner, kitchen, bedroom with two single beds, shower room. Furnished terraces overlooking the pool with lockable gate. First floor: Large master bedroom with balcony, large twin bedroom with two single beds and main bathroom. Second floor: Furnished solarium. All rooms have ceiling fans and heaters. Master bedroom and lounge have air-conditioning. Fully double glazed with security grills. The additional two single folding beds can be used either in the lounge or in the bedrooms of your choice. All electricity, water, bed linen and house towels included. Washing machine, iron and ironing board. Cots and baby equipment can be hired separately.

Bed linen and house towels are supplied, please bring own towels for the beach and pool. If staying for longer than a week towels and bedlinen can be changed by arrangement with keyholder for a small fee. Cleaned at end of stay, fee of 70 euros. |

Notes on accommodation
The house is spacious and built over 3 floors, with internal access to the solarium. The house is fully equipped for everyday living. There are ceiling fans, free standing fans and heaters. Lounge and Master bedroom have air conditioning. The pool, with a large 'shallow end', can be seen from most windows and all outside areas. There is a barbecue on the terrace. There is also a second pool on the community. Quiet, residential community. Suitable for families or golfers. Close to large Saturday street market. Although pets in general are not permitted we do allow registered 'helper' dogs. No smoking permitted inside house. Cots and other baby and young child equipment can be hired separately.
Accessibility
As this is a three storey house it is not suitable for those who have difficulty with stairs.
Outside
There is a terrace on two sides of the house with tables, chairs, reclining chairs, sun shade and barbecue for 'al fresco' dining. The gate is lockable to make it safer for children. Master bedroom balcony has a wooden table and two chairs. Solarium, a large roof terrace with sea views, has table, chairs, sun shade and sun loungers. There are two pools, one in a gated garden clearly visible from all outside areas, the other not visible but close by. The pools and gardens are checked and cleaned daily.
Coast/Beach
The local Playa Flamenca beaches are less than a mile away and are awarded the European Blue Flag. The Orihuela Costa is 16km of coastline at the southern end of the Costa Blanca. The main beaches have services such as showers, toilets, ramps, life guard services, first aid and small beach bars in high season. There are also several small natural coves backing onto the cliffs.
There are two sports marinas on the Costa for water sports.
Golf
There are 3 prestigious golf courses very close by and several others within a 15 minute drive. All 18 hole courses.
Villamartin, 4km. The oldest and probably most famous course in the area. Par 72.
Las Rambles, 5km. Regarded as probably the most difficult course in the area. Par 71.
Campoamor, 5 km. Play golf with a view of the Med. Designed by Carmelo Garcia. Par 72.
La Marquesa, 10 minutes drive. Also known as Quesada after the designer Justo Quesada. Par 72.
La Finca, 15 minutes drive. The newest course in the area, a championship course designed by Jose Gancedo with a back drop of the mountains. Par 72.
Travel
From Alicante Airport it takes around 40 minutes to drive to Playa Flamenca. Murcia Airport is a 20 minute drive. Playa Flamenca is easily accessed from either the N332 coast road or the AP7 motorway. A hire car is not essential as all amenities are within walking distance and there are local buses. Our keyholders can provide airport transfers by arrangement if you are not hiring a car.
Distances
The house is close to the local shops, including a large supermarket just a ten minutes walk away. The local Saturday market takes place very near to the house. There are tourist attractions to suit all tastes: go-karting, museums, horse riding, quad biking, water parks, zoo, water sports, walks, salt lakes, bowling and just down the road is the famous Mar Menor, known for its water sports and mud baths! There are details of many attractions and activities at the house.
Further details
At the house you will find telephone numbers for local taxi's, medical centre and airports. There are business cards for various 'tried and tested' restaurants within the local area. The large Flamenca Beach Commercial Centre and local Via Park centres cater for all types of food lovers. There are also beachside cafes and restaurants open for breakfast right through to super time so you can look at the sea while enjoying your meal.
Local shops sell souvenirs and crafts and there are several supermarkets and banks.
Booking notes
Costs shown are per week. An additional charge of 70 euros per stay is made for end of stay cleaning & laundry. Dates are shown Saturday to Saturday but we are flexible when possible on arrival and departure days. Usual arrival time is 4pm and departure by 10am, but when possible we are flexible. Payment can be made in sterling or euros. A deposit of £150 is required to secure the dates and full payment is due 8 weeks before your stay. Deposit refunded after stay, subject to keyholders advice.

About the owner
We live in the UK but have holidayed in Spain for the last 20 years, visiting family living there. We have 3 grown-up children and currently 2 grandchildren so our Spanish house is very much a family home when we are there.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
Our short-list for the property was decided as a family. It had to be walking distance of the beach, restaurants and bars, with a pool that could be seen from the house, but quiet enough to enjoy a relaxing break. The location needed to be less than an hour from the airport in an area with no high rise developments. And the house needed to be big enough for the family. This house fulfills all the criteria and more.
Unique benefits of the property
With all the necessary amenities within walking distance a car is not essential. But just a short drive and you are in open countryside with orange groves and Spanish villages.
The pool can been seen from all outside areas, from the terrace on two sides of the house, from the master bedroom balcony and from the large rooftop solarium, which also has sea views.
