Molino Felix is a historic mill located alongside the river Gor on the doorstep of the Sierra de Baza. Within easy access to the A92N you will be perfectly situated for exploring this beautiful region of Andalucia. Whether it be an adventure holiday, a relaxing get-away or even looking for your dream home, Molino Felix is the ideal place to stay. There are 2 fully equipped Self-Catering Apartments that have been lovingly restored and finished to a high standard. It's just a 3 minute walk to the quiet Spanish village of Gor where the locals are friendly and the tapas are always superb! Granada is only 45 mins with the Sierra Nevada Ski Resort 90 mins. Almeria coast is about 60 mins however the stunning freshwater Lake Negretin is only 20 mins which is just spectacular to see plus you can go for a swim. The local fiestas are the 1st 2 weeks of August. The village transforms at night with bars and dancing in the square also don't miss the famous running of the bulls through the streets.

Notes on prices
Gor Fiesta 1 Aug 2013 - 14 Aug 2013 : £391 per week Mariposa incl.3rd bedroom & £347 Amapola, minimum stay 1 week.
Prices include electric, water and a gas bottle. Additional gas bottles can be purchased at cost. Central heating is charged per usage, usually between €3.50 - €7 per day should you wish to use it.
The Mariposa apartment has an extra large bedroom that can be added which sleeps an extra 3 people.
A deposit of 50% is required to secure a booking with the balance paid on arrival.

This apartment is mainly on one level although there are a short set of stairs at both entrances. The open plan kitchen and lounge area turn a very rustic building in to a modern feeling home whilst maintaining features like the slate floors, stone walls and wooden beams in keeping with the building. The bedrooms, living area, kitchen and wet-room with WC are on the upper level which is accessed from the street with the 2nd bathroom, washing machine and 2nd entrance on the lower floor. An additional large bedroom with a double bed and single folding bed can be added to this apartment.

This apartment has the living area on the ground floor with the 2 bedrooms on the 1st floor. It also benefits from it's own private walled patio which in the Summer is a real sun trap. The Amapola has the feel of a country cottage with its stone walls and wooden ceilings but it caters for modern living with it's open plan layout.

Notes on accommodation
There is ample parking and also Fon WiFi available for those who still want to stay in touch with the rest of the world!
We are child and baby friendly and if a cot is needed please mention when booking.
Both apartments have central heating heated by eco-friendly bio-fuel as well as a log-burning stove for the Winter period however Air-Conditioning is not required due to the location and type of building the evenings tend to stay cool even when the temperature in the day has been 38c!


Location

 

Accessibility
The Amapola Apartment would be best suited for Wheelchair users although it has not been specifically modified. There are 3 steps up to the door however after this there is a sofabed in the main living area with the bathroom, Kitchen and patio all on the same level. The Mariposa Apartment is less suited as both entrances are accessed by a flight of stairs.

Outside
There is a communal garden within the grounds which has a trampoline (3m dia.), a small above ground swimming pool (3.5m dia.) during the summer months, a table tennis table and seating areas with shade.

Coast/Beach
Lake Negretin is 20 mins by car and has a beach at Freila with a restaurant and thermal baths at Zujar. Almeria coast is about 1 hour by car, the resort of Mojacar is 1 hour and half and Malaga coast 2 hours.

How to get there
Car hire is recommended although we can provide airport pick-up/drop-off should you not wish to hire a car. The local area is very peaceful however should you wish to explore further afield a car is essential.

Further details
There are 2 local supermarkets, 2 bakers, a butchers and a weekly market selling fresh local produce. There are also 3 bars which serve very good Spanish food and tapas. The village has a bank with cashpoint facility accepting UK cards.
