Peace and tranquility are the order of the day, the noise of birds and the bells of the goats is about all you will hear during your stay. The Casita is totally independent from the main house, our rural retreat that we retired to 4 years ago. We are a quiet couple with no children or animals to disturb your peace, and will totally respect your privacy during your stay. The property is ideal for couples who enjoy the quiet life, close to national parks perfect for walking, hiking and bird watching. As well as escaping from the stresses and strains of life. Colmenar - a typical Spanish village is 10 mins drive away, it is well equipped with several, bars, restaurants, supermarkets, chemist and a 24 hours medical centre. Whilst retaining all the charm and beauty in its small winding streets. Car hire is essential in this area. Although we are only 45 mins easy drive from Malaga city and airport, with only the last 1.5kms of your journey to the Casita on a track.

| Living Rooms: | Lounge area - screened from bedroom area, two comfortable settees, built in storage ands shelving. 26 inch TV with British satellite TV and radio. DVD player and music system, Ipod. Speakers. Gas Stove and gas heater for the colder evenings. |

All linen will be provided including pool towels. Linen changed twice weekly, cleaning included 3 to 4 times a week. Personal laundry by arrangement. Due to the rural location an honesty bar is provided. Meals and shopping if required. Welcome pack. |
Notes on accommodation
The accommodation is suited to couples, unsuitable for children. All windows in the Casita are fitted with Mosquito Screens and shutters to help keep it cool in the Summer. Casa El Higueron - our Casita is attached to our home.

Accessibility
Our property although on one level does have a couple of steps to back and front entrance. Plus stairs to the roof terrace. It would be unsuitable for an wheelchair user.
Outside
Outside space we provide a large private roof terrace, with a shaded sitting area, cushions, sun beds to relax in. The casita also has use of a sheltered patio area, which has glass dining table and 4 chairs plus parasol. Gas barbecue. We have a lovely 8x4 swimming pool which we are happy to share. Outside shower to enable you to shower before you swim. We also provide 2 chairs and parasol for use at the beach.
Coast/Beach
Colmenar has easy access to beach resorts of Malaga, Torremolinos 45 mins drive away. Then further along the coast to Fuengirola and Marbella 1 hour to 1.5 hours away. Gibraltar can be reached in a couple of hours.
Golf
Costa Del Sol has many very good golf courses. The nearest is 45 mins drive away. We would be happy to provide more information if needed.
Travel
Malaga is our nearest airport, 45 mins drive away, most of which is on the Motorway. Car hire is essential which we are happy to help with if needed.
Distances
4kms to Colmenar. 9kms to Riogordo a very pretty village. Both villages have a weekly market, lots of places to eat in typical Spanish surroundings. Colmenar has a very good bus service to Malaga city, several times a day which is the easiest way to see the city. Antequera is 45 mins drive inland and well worth a trip for its lovely architecture. Other places of interest within easy reach for the day are Cordoba, Granada and Rhonda.
Further details
Colmenar has it own outside swimming pool open in July and August. Velez Malaga has a water park open from May to September. Velez Malaga town is the nearest major town, well worth a visit to the old town and the modern shopping mall. Here you will find larger supermarkets, shops, money exchange and travel agents for trips further a field.

We will hold a booking for 24 hours by phone or email. Contact owner for banking transfer details. 25% non refundable deposit will secure our booking. Full amount to be paid 6 weeks prior to arrival. All breakages to be paid for.
