The cortijo offers 600 square metres of living accommodation. Outside there is a large tiled swimming pool with patio and outside kitchen/eating area. The garden is laid to lawn with a variety of plants and shrubs. Inside the large lounge with its high vaulted ceilings offers a calm retreat and the games room offers table tennis, pool table and PlayStation to keep young guests occupied. There are 10 comfortable bedrooms, 5 of which have en-suite facilities. The 2 internal patios provide another location to relax. Both the lounge and dining room are air-conditioned. Rental rates in euros are based on 10 people at the property. Children under 16 years of age are free. Each additional person per night up to a maximum of 20 people is charged at an additional 28 euros in high summer season/23 euros mid season/15 euros low season.

The tiled swimming pool is 12 metres by 6 metres with an additional 3 metres of graduated steps to enter/exit. The depth of the pool is 1.2 metres to 1.9 metres and is fully filtered.

"Lovely Stay at the Cortijo"
We stayed for 5 nights at the cortijo in January 2011. We were a family with 4 teenagers. There was more than enough space, and enjoyable distractions, including the pool table and ping-pong. Internet access also was a plus. We enjoyed most the expansive outdoor facilities, including the grill and the lovely dining area with beautiful, long views of the surrounding countryside. Also, fresh squeezed orange juice every morning with the oranges picked from the surrounding grove. The bedrooms are simple but comfortable and in nice style. The kitchen and dining areas are enormous and well equipped. The owners were helpful and gracious, including understanding about our late arrival. A great place to stay.

About the owner
Hello Everyone we are Roger and Theresa and welcome you to Cortijo Estacada de las cabras.We came over to Seville on holiday in 1999 to visit three spanish au pairs who lived in the area who had lived with us in England. One of the girls lived with her family in Lora del Rio and we were invited to their countryside for a spanish family lunch on the Sunday. Everyone was so relaxed and we were made very welcome. As we walked around his hectares of orange trees Rog and I knew this was what we wanted for us and our four children and were determined to make our dream come true.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
On one of our weekend breaks to Lora del Rio we walked past the estate agents window and he had a piece of A4 paper stuck on a board selling the cortijo. That was it we had to have it. So without even seeing it we got back to the UK and started getting our friend to find information about it. We were back on a plane with in 2 weeks to view it and loved it as soon as we got there. That was it totally run down and over grown but we fell for it and bought it 4 weeks later. The location is excellent situated between Seville and Cordoba. Lora has a mainline station which makes getting into Seville or Cordoba easy without a car. Even though the cortijo is in the countryside it is only a 7 minute drive into Lora with all its amenities. Lora is much bigger now than 12 years ago.
Unique benefits of the property
If you want a quite place to unwind, have a family holiday or just come with a group of friends this is the place. The large communal areas inside the house are ideal for larger groups or space for kids to burn off energy. Eventhough it is in a tranquil setting you are only a 3km drive from town. There are a few supermarket including the national supermarket Mercadona where you can shop online. 45 minutes by train to Santa Justa or San Bernardo in Seville where you can walk around and visit the beautiful sights of Seville. 50 minutes by train gets you into the city of Cordoba where you can enjoy the mezquita and other moorish sights. Seville airport is a 40 minute drive from the Cortijo and it you prefer to get a flight into Malaga that is only a 2hr 15minute drive. Jerez 1hr 40mins.
