Originally a fishing village, Calella has grown into a small resort where development has been strictly controlled so that the original charm of the sea front and village has not been affected. The beach front is most picturesque with various sandy bays and coves. In place of high rise blocks of apartments the emphasis is generally on small well planned developments in wooded landscaped gardens. Calella will meet many people's 'idea of the perfect resort', large enough to contain excellent amenities including good restaurants, bars and shops, yet small enough to avoid the package tour. The apartment is situated on the hillside of the village, very quiet area, 1km to the centre and the beaches. The apartment is composed of 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom with bath, full equipped kitchen, lounge with fireplace, Satellite TV and Wi-Fi. Terrace with direct access to the pool, garage place in the community garage. The apartment has electric heating, so it is also ideally for autumn or winter breaks.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in Euros.Price is including, water, electricity, gas and heating in the winter months, also bedlinen. Final cleaning (65Euros) to be paid by the tenants. Special price for long term lettings during October-April. (Please contact owner).

Changeover day
Changeover is always on Saturdays in July and August. The flat will be ready at 16 hours and must be left at 10.00 hours the day of departure. The rest of the year the dates are flexible and bookings can be taken from any other day.

Notes on accommodation
Cot and highchair can be provided with previous advise. Cot 30 euros for whole stay and high-chair 18 euros for whole stay. A fan is provided as well.

Accessibility
Easy access to the community and the apartment. One of the local multilingual staff will take you personally to the apartment and show you everything.

Outside
The community is composed off a total of 15 apartments. The first block overlooking the pool has 9 apartments and the second block (in front) 6 apartments. Very quiet area in a cul of sac street.

Coast/Beach
The unspoilt sandy beaches of the centre of Calella are 800m way from the apartment. By car just a 5 minute drive and walking 20 minutes.

Golf
This region is perfect and ideal for golf players. In the area of 15km you can choose between 4 golf courses.

Local activities include golf, sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, cycling, tennis, walking, horse-riding, go-carting, snorkeling, diving school, bird-watching.

Travel
Closest airport is Gerona 45km from Calella (50 minutes drive). Airport Barcelona 150km (2 hours drive). Car hire direct on the airports. Taxi can be booked.

Distances
Calella of Palafrugell belongs to the town of Palafrugell together with the villages of Llafranc and Tamariu. Llafranc is the neighbouring village of Calella, just 400m. It has a white sandy beach backed by a shady promenade where you will find selection of bars and restaurants. Tamariu is also worth a visit. Palafrugell (3km distance) is a town of 20.000 people with active life over the whole year. Many shops and a nice mercat every day. Sundays big special market where you can find everything.

Further details
Calella has many small charming beaches, the last one is in the Golfet, the hillside of Calella. A botanical garden named 'Cap Roig' is in the Golfet as well. From the apartment it is just 400m away. During the last years the Cap Roig botanical garden became very popular, due to the summer concerts celebrated in their gardens during July and August with international stars.

In this area named 'Baix Emporda' you can visit many beautiful medieval villages in the county side and not far away from Calella. A 30 minutes drive by car will take you to the old villages of Peretallada, Pals, Monells, Palausator, Foixa and others.

Booking notes
Booking will be confirmed once we have received a deposit of 40% of the total of the letting. Rest of payment of 60% must be done 2 weeks before arrival. On arrival you must deposit your via card details for 200 euros as a guarantee against possible damages or loss of keys (local agent). You will only be charged in case of any damage to the flat.
