This beautiful finca - townhouse - is set in the heart of old Cadiz with a wealth of shops, bars, restaurants and plazas all within a two minute stroll and yet the beach Caleta is easily reached on foot within ten minutes. The apartments have been professionally designed and developed (in Spring 2009) to offer fantastic accommodation and style that suits any requirement (we have 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom apartments available). Each apartment is beautifully presented with air conditioning, private balcony, flat screen TV, laminate flooring and top quality furnishings and accessories throughout. Each flat also has the use of the sun terrace on the rooftop which offers stunning views across to the cathedral. The building itself has a lift.

Entrance lobby with glazed panels onto internal courtyard and large storage cupboards leads onto the the good sized living/kitchen area. The living area has a large sofa, table and chairs, flat screen TV and a private balcony and the kitchen is fitted with a hob, extractor, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and top quality units. Off the internal hallway is a good double bedroom complete with double bedroom and the bathroom complete with shower over the bath. This 60 square metre apartment comes with air conditioning and laminate flooring and the use of the sun terrace upstairs. There is a lift in the building.

A hallway leads onto the stylish lounge/diner which is tastefully fitted with large sofa, attractive furniture and fittings, flatscreen TV, dining table and chairs, large storage cupboards and a private balcony. An internal hallway leads onto a well equipped kitchen with hob, extractor, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and a range of quality units. There are 2 double bedrooms - 1 with a double bed and the other with twin beds. The bathroom has a shower over the bath. This 85 square metre apartment comes with air conditioning and laminate flooring and a lift services the apartment as well as the top floor sun terrace.

A long hallway has all the rooms leading off with the lounge/diner at the front with the original balcony overlooking Calle Ancha The lounge is tastefully fitted with large sofa, attractive furniture housing the flat screen TV and the dining suite is stylish. The kitchen is extensively fitted in a range of units with hob, extractor, washing machine, fridge/freezer etc.The main bedroom has a double bed and a good sized en suite bathroom with shower over the bath and there is a further twin bedded bedroom and a single bedroom. The bathroom has a shower over the bath.

 

Notes on accommodation
The apartments all benefit from air conditioning, laminate wood flooring and very tasteful presentation. With the lift the apartments are suitable for all ages but obviously with balconies and sun terraces parental supervision is required.

Accessibility
Although there are no stairs to negotiate with the lift being in operation the apartments do come with baths with showers over in the bathrooms.

Outside
Each apartment has its own private balcony and the shared use of the large upstairs terraces, one for sunbathing and the other terrace for hanging washing. There are beautiful green plazas within a few minutes walk of the apartments.

Coast/Beach
Cadiz boasts many city beaches -all with the blue flag award - the nearest one to the apartments is Playa Caleta (genuine 10 minute walk) which is a beautiful but popular sandy beach ideal for children with its sheltered sides thus reducing the power of the waves. Playa Santa Maria is slightly more open to nature being a 25 minute walk away or an easy bus ride from the city centre as with the other beaches on the way out of Cadiz.

Golf
There are many golf courses within an hours drive of Cadiz and there is a special discount ticket available to buy allowing up to five rounds on different courses. Ask me for more details.

Travel
Jerez airport is 40km away with regular bus service from the airport direct to Cadiz. Taxi cost is 60 euros.
Seville airport is 110km away but on a fast motorway so its an hour and a half drive away and again coaches connect Seville to Cadiz.
Malaga airport is four hours away and there is again a coach service to Cadiz but at four hours quite long.
We have had guests use Gibraltar airport too. To see the surroundings areas a car is a must but Cadiz is difficult.

Distances
The apartments are right in the centre of the old city and its a joy just to wander around the narrow streets that open onto amazing plazas where you can take a beer and tapas. Then onto the beaches, Cadiz offers most things to most people.
If you want to take a day trip to Seville its easily done and the "white towns" stuck up in the mountains are within an hours drive.
For the more adventurous Morocco is available for a 2 day or more break by catching the ferry from Algeciras.

We have lived in Cadiz for five years and really enjoy the experience of everything it has to offer. When we meet you with the keys we will hand over a quality map of the city and highlight all (in our humble opinion) all the best places to see or eat at and also any places of interest you may want to see. You will also have our telephone numbers to call us on if you need any more assistance during your holiday.

Booking notes
After confirming the dates of the holiday between us we shall send an email invoice from PayPal for 50% of the money to be paid as deposit and the balance to be paid when we meet with the keys. High season is June, July, August and the first two weeks of September.

About the owner
Well....always difficult to describe oneself. Me - Richard - am English and married to Yusimi who is Cuban - we have a nine year old son, Jon Marco, who adores his life here in Cadiz - beach and plazas with friends all year round. What a life! We have been in Cadiz for six years now and for most of that time we have been running our Cuban bar - Bar Cuba, next to Plaza Mina(best mojitos in town - shameless plug - so pop in and say hello). Before Cadiz we lived and worked in Havana, Cuba with a European company involved in dance holidays (Yusimi is a former professional Salsa dancer) and before Cuba we lived in Kettering in Northamptonshire where I had my own estate agency business for many years until I saw the light! We love the pace and friendliness of Cadiz - an unspoilt secret.
