Changeover day
Preferred changeover day is a Saturday, however this is flexible.

| Kitchen: | The kitchen is fully fitted with granite work-surfaces and new appliances including hob, oven, dishwasher and fridge/freezer, microwave. There is ample storage and crockery etc if you choose to eat in. |
| Utility Room: | The utility room adjoining the kitchen has a washing machine and clothes drying area along with iron and ironing board. |
| Living Rooms: | The large, bright lounge/dining area is again finished in marble and with seating and eating areas. The large sofa converts to a double bed.There is a TV with freeview satellite channels and DVD/CD player. The main balcony is accessed from this lounge. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Towels and linen are provided once a week. The apartment is serviced by a management company who will provide keys etc, arrange cleaning prior to your arrival and when you depart. Please provide your own beach towels for sunbathing/swimming. |

Notes on accommodation
The complex is very child friendly with children’s pools and green areas. No pets are permitted in the apartment. Smoking is only permitted on terraces. Please dispose of butts appropriately.
All rooms are finished to a high standard. There is air conditioning in every room, both hot and cold. There is also a telephone entry system. Balconies run off the lounge and main bedroom and are very private. The main area has a large table and 6 chairs.
Accessibility
The apartment is situated on the first floor with lift access to all levels and is accessible to wheelchair users.
Outside
The complex has been built in Andalucian style with walkways, pools, waterfalls and green areas. The pools vary in size and depth to suit all abilities. The main pool is supervised by a lifeguard during the high season and toilets are available poolside. The complex has lovely tropical walkways between different levels.
Ideal for families and golfers (Duquesa Golf course is directly accessible). The beautiful sun terrace with its outdoor patio set is a perfect spot to unwind, affording beautiful views of the sea and mountains
Coast/Beach
5 minutes by car or 15 mins on foot is Porta La Duquesa which has a beautiful marina nestled between 2 blue flag beaches. There is ample free parking at the beach which is rarely crowded and again lifeguards patrol all during the summer months. There are beach bars, chiringuitos, dotted along the long stretches of sand where a very welcome cold drink or lunch can be had. Water sports and pedaloes are available.
Golf
This area of the Costa del Sol boasts many golf courses of Championship standard, and those to suit all abilities. The complex is next to the La Duquesa Golf Course designed by Robert Trent Jones. DUQUESA (10 minute walk from apartment) 18 holes, Par 72, 6142 metres.
Some great par 3's including the 17th, requiring accurate driving and concentration. Other facilities on this charming course include a Driving range, Putting green, Restaurant, Gym, Turkish Bath, Sauna, Jacuzzi, Indoor Pool, Tennis Courts, Billiards and Pro Shop.
Estepona 5 min drive from apartment. 18 holes, Par 72, 6001 metres. Stunning course opened in 1989. Set against the Sierra Bermeja mountain range with wide fairways and very long greens.
Other golf courses in the area: Los Flamingos 18 holes, Par 72. One of the best on the Costa Del Sol. Although technically demanding this course will please all. San Roque Par 72, 6497 metres. Set in the southern Andalucian hills.
Skiing
Skiing in the Sierra Nevada Mountains is available from November - March and is a 2 hour drive away.
Travel
The main airport is Malaga which is approx 1hr away. Road access along the Costa del Sol to Marbella and Duquesa is easy by the motorway (A7) or the new toll road (AP7). The area of Duquesa is also well serviced by the new international airport at Gibraltar which is 25 mins away. All the major car hire companies offer car hire from Malaga airport.
Nearest Travel Links Airport: Malaga and Gibralter (30km) 55km. Ferry: Algeciras 50km.
Distances
Duquesa village is in one of the prime locations of the Costa del Sol, just 15km along the coast from Estepona Here you have the Selwo African game reserve, and a short drive away are the aqua parks of Mijas and the cable lift and marine park in Benalmadena. Just 1km away are the fishing villages of Sabinallis and El Castillo where you will find some of the most magnificent seafood. Marbella and Puerto Banus are a 25-minute drive to the east and Gibraltar is 25-minutes to the west.
Further details
Puerto de la Duquesa is a beautiful marina nestled between 2 blue flag beaches. It is both family friendly and chic with its fantastic restaurants( French, Italian, Chinese ,Thai, Indian and of course Spanish with its fresh local fish), wine bars and boutique shops.
Other activities include horse riding, sailing diving fishing jetskiing and go karting. The Costa del Sol is one of Spains most popular destination due to its wonderful climate (hot and sunny in the summer and mild in the winter),beautiful beaches and world class golf courses (30 courses along the Costa del Sol).
Exploring the area by car is great fun and very easy using the motorway and the new toll road. Marbella and Puerto Banus is only 30 mins by car and the spectacular rock of Gibraltar ( with an international airport) in the other direction is only 20 mins.
A short drive inland leads you to beautiful mountain villages like Casares ,Ronda, Benhavia and Mijas Peublo. These are centuries old hillside communities, where the views are spectacular and are probably the best places to enjoy authentic tapas. Ronda is a beautiful town built on a gorge and is well worth the hair-raising drive up through mountains - not for the faint-hearted. Granada with its winter skiing and Alhambra Palace is 2 hours. Seville and Granada are about 2 hours drive from Duquesa and you can also take a ferry from Algeciras to Morocco (1hr on the ferry).
