Sitting high on the steep hillside of the neighbourhood of Monte de los Almendros, with breath-taking 180-degree views over the old town of Salobrena with it's Moorish castle, the Mediterranean sea, and the Sierra Nevada mountains which are snow-capped for many months of the year. Steps from a quiet cul-de sac lead up to the house, pool and three terraces, equipped with BBQ and outdoor furniture for eating/sunbathing. The house is not overlooked, and has mature gardens with flowers and fruit trees. There are 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms (3 of which are en-suite), brand new kitchen and spacious living/dining areas. Virtually every room opens out on to a terrace with stunning views. The house is split into 2 levels, both of which have living room/kitchen, making this an ideal house for 2 families, or a family with teenagers. Nearby is the well-maintained community area with pools, tennis, football and free WiFi.

Other: The house is split into 2 levels, linked by outdoor steps. Each level has kitchen/living areas and 2 bedrooms, making it ideal for 2 families, or one family with teenagers wanting some privacy!

All towels and linens are provided, except for pool towels which tenants need to provide themselves. Villa is professionally cleaned prior to occupation. A mid-let cleaning service is provided for 2-week lets.

Notes on accommodation
The house, pool and terraces are completely private and not overlooked. It's situated near the end of a very quiet cul-de-sac. Every bedroom is equipped with a ceiling fan and/or free-standing fan. The woodburning fire heats much of the upper floor in winter.
There's a second TV in the downstairs living area equipped with Playstation and a wide variety of Playstation games

Accessibility
Steps lead up to the house/terraces from the road below. The 2 levels of the house are linked by outdoor steps.

Outside
The house, pool and terraces are completely private and are not overlooked. Both the pool and gardens are professionally maintained. To the front are two south-east facing terraces, one of which is at pool level. 9-metre private pool with gentle downward steps into the water, shallow and deep ends. Plentiful outdoor furniture for eating/sunbathing provided on the terraces, which are partly shaded. Built-in BBQ undercover. Behind the house is a sheltered sunny courtyard, shaded eating area with table and chairs, and mature gardens with a wide variety of plants and trees, including lemon and fig. Just imagine, sitting on the terrace, taking in the stunning views of the Mediterranean, the beaches of Salobrena, the Moorish castle and the Sierra Nevada, sipping a G & T complete with a slice of home-grown lemon!

Coast/Beach
The beaches of Salobrena are a 7 minutes drive. Almunecar beaches are 15 minutes, Nerja beaches are 40 minutes and La Herradura 20 minutes drive away. There are many small coves near the house that are quiet or the beaches of Salobrena, Nerja and Almunecar are busier with many facilities. The chiringitos (small beach restaurants) in Salobrena are excellent to enjoy fresh seafood and other Spanish food at reasonable prices and you always have a chance of seeing dolphins swimming near the beach.

Golf
Los Moriscos Golf Course is a 10-minute drive. Granada Golf Courses are a 1 hour drive. Malaga Golf Courses are a 1 hour drive as well.

Skiing
The Sierra Nevada Sol y Nieve ski resort is a 1.25 hour drive from the villa. Easily accessible, and all equipment can be rented there.

Special interest holidays
There are many local activities including walking in the hills above El Olivaron and in "Las Alpujarras" (foothills of the Sierra Nevada). There are plenty of other activities in the area and there is a particularly good choice of excellent value local restaurants and tapas bars!

Travel
Salobrena is within easy distance of 3 airports, all of which are served by budget airlines. Malaga - 75 minutes drive, Granada - 45 minutes drive, Almeria - 105 minutes drive. A hire car is strongly recommended.

Distances
The town of Salobrena is 7 minutes drive from the villa. The town of Almunecar lies within 15 minutes driving from the villa. The province's second largest town, Motril, lies within 12 minutes drive from the villa. The small fishing village of La Caleta is 6 minutes drive away at the bottom of the hill and has bars and a bakery for delicious fresh bread in the mornings.

Further details
All amenities, shops, banks, supermarkets, restaurants, Tapas bars, etc can be found in Salobrena. Location: Salobrena is located on the Costa Tropical de Granada, an unspoilt area of southern Spain where sugar cane, avocados, mangoes and other fruits grow prolifically. There are a wide choice of tapas bars and excellent local restaurants all within very easy reach. Further inland are the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains with skiing and snow-boarding in the winter, and fantastic hiking during the warmer months. The historic city of Granada is only 45 minutes drive away, home to Andalucia's most famous historic attraction, the Alhambra. Other all year round sports available are tennis, golf, horse riding, scuba diving, fishing, sailing, windsurfing, mountain biking, and walking/bird watching in the beautiful valleys of the nearby Alpujarras.
