This delightful family farmhouse is 5 minutes from the beautiful beaches of Mojacar and set in orange and olive groves below the fascinating village. It offers a warmth and charm often lacking in many holiday rentals, with all the facilities to make your holiday a relaxing and stress free time.

Changeover day
Changover is usually Saturday but can be flexible, please contact owners. Arrival is 4pm. Departure is 12 noon.

| Bathrooms: | En-suite to bedroom 1 has twin basins, bidet, shower, toilet and bath. Bathroom 2 has 1 basin, toilet and shower. |
| Kitchen: | The galley kitchen is very well equipped with oven, hob, fridge, dishwasher and microwave and leads directly out into the patio and the covered eating area. |
| Utility Room: | Outside the kitchen is a small closed utility area with a fridge/freezer and washing machine. |
| Living Rooms: | The dining room seats six. The TV. room has a flat screen TV, a DVD and video machine as well as satellite TV and a surround sound stereo system. The sitting room has a comfortable sofa and desk with an open fireplace. |
| Other: | Leading from the kitchen is a delightful patio/ eating area surrounded by sweet smelling plants such as jasmine. A large wooden table sits under a shaded area with a gas barbecue for al fresco meals |

Notes on accommodation
Las Huertas is set in approx 3 acres of land. Guests are welcome to explore the grounds but very young children should be supervised. A table tennis table, pool table and dart board is available for use. Pets are allowed with prior arrangement.
Accessibility
Unfortunately Las Huertas has a small number of steps and the access to some of the rooms is narrow. It may be difficult for people with limited mobility.
Outside
The outside eating area has seating for 8, a gas barbecue and table tennis table. The summer kitchen at the pool has seating for 6, a gas barbecue and fridge. There is also a dart board and pool table. The private and secluded pool is large 5x10m. It has sun loungers for 6 and has a quiet, shaded area and a swing seat. The beautiful orange orchards give up their fruit in the winter months and make fresh orange juice a delightful addition to any breakfast.
Coast/Beach
Mojacar has numerous beautiful beaches, most with sand some with rocks which make them ideal for snorkelling. The nearest beach is 3km away and can be reached easily within 5 minutes by car.
Golf
There are numerous golf courses within easy reach of las Huertas. Within 20km are Valle de Este, Cortijo Grande,Desert Springs, Macenas and Marina de la Torre.
Travel
Almeria is the nearest airport; approx 50 mins away. Murcia is approx 1½ hour. Alicante is approx 2 hours. Granada is approx 2½ hours. Car hire is recommended.
Distances
Mojacar Village/ Pueblo is approx 2km away with its narrow twisting lanes offering a fascinating insight into old Spain. Mojacar Beach is approx 3km away. Garrucha with fishing port and beaches 5km. Sorbas Caves and local pottery approx 30km. Aquilas with its bustling Saturday market approx 40km.
Further details
Las Hertas is ideally set between the beaches and old Mojacar. Both locations offer a wealth of restaurants and bars as well as shops, supermarkets, banks, medical facilities and churches. Snokelling, sailing, horse riding, tennis, bowls, yoga and various other activities can usually be found within the Mojacar area. For specific interests please contact the owners.

About the owner
We have both been in Education, my husband as a university lecturer and myself as a teacher. At present I teach Autistic children and am living in the UK to see our son through his education.
Why the owner chose a home in this location
Mojacar is a very special place which we fell in love with 12 years ago. Las Huertas is in a quiet, traditional area of Mojacar, set in the orchards below the village. Being away from the main beach area Las Huertas is relaxing but is near enough to all amenities as and when you want it.
Unique benefits of the property
Las Huertas is not a beach villa, it is a tradition farm cottage with orchards allowing you complete peace and privacy. It is easy to relax into al fresco eating and lazy days by the pool.
