The villa is located just a few minutes walk from the beach and has 2 bedrooms (1 double and 1 twin), 2 bathrooms, kitchen & large lounge/dining area. Lounge doors slide open onto a spacious veranda which overlooks the sea & mountains. There is access to the huge flat roof sun terrace from the double bedroom, ideal for discreet sunbathing! In the small garden you can enjoy the benefits of a purpose built chimney BBQ. This small complex has a community kidney-shaped swimming pool just 20 yards from the villa.The interior is comfortably furnished to a high standard with all necessary amenities, including fridge freezer, washing machine, dish washer, modern hob and oven, microwave, iron and hair dryer, plus an up-to-date satellite TV system for all your English stations. Also all linen and towels are provided (with the exception of beach towels).

Change over dates are preferred at weekends, but any deviation to this is subject to availability.

Notes on accommodation
Facilities are available in the villa to keep you warm in the winter (if you need it!) and cool in the summer (and you will need it!). The property is suitable for all ages and is located in a real family environment. Necessarily children will need supervision around the pool.
Accessibility
The property is not suitable for wheelchair users and no provisions have been made.
Outside
There is a garden between the veranda and the purpose-built BBQ. The property has its own identified parking bay. There is a good-sized, shared, kidney-shaped pool with surrounding lawns and trees for shade 20 yards from the villa. The villa has outside dining furniture, sun-loungers, beach chairs and sun-shades.
Coast/Beach
Mojacar Playa has access to over 17km of beach. You can walk to the beach from the villa in roughly 5mins - by car, a few seconds.
Mojacar Playa boasts a very informal atmosphere and its popularity is endorsed by the many Spanish people who spend their holidays there.
There are many superb beach bars offering local cuisine with locally caught fish being a speciality - you can see the boats coming in from the villa's veranda.
Golf
There are 2 golf courses within 10 mins drive from the villa + one 20 mins away nestling in the Sierra Cabrera mountains-not to mention the world famous Desert Springs Club and Complex where you can share a drink at the bar with Sir Ian Botham! Oh and we forgot to mention - the villa has a full set of clubs, bag, trolley, and golf balls available for the fanatic!
Skiing
Evidently there are only four resorts in the world where you can go on holiday, swim in the sea, travel 2.5 hours away and ski - one of them is MOJACAR! At Easter time, the sea is warm enough to swim in and you can travel to the Sierra Nevada mountains (close to Granada) and SKI TO YOUR HEART'S CONTENT!!! That can't be bad - can it????
Special interest holidays
Mojacar is essentially a beach resort for people wanting to relax in the sunshine. There are many 'in season' attractions ie. visits of symphony orchestras, popular concerts in neighbouring towns and of course bull-fighting, not to mention the many fiestas that take place.
Of special interest to everyone that visits Mojacar is of course, the village 3km away which nestles in the foothills of the Sierra Cabrera mountains. An artists paradise and a must for visitors.
Travel
You have access to Mojacar Playa from three airports:
- Almeria, approx 45 mins from the villa
- Murcia, approx 75 mins from the villa via new motorway
- Alicante,approx 2 hours from the villa
All are easily accessed to the villa by motorway and specific directions will be provided for you following confirmation of your booking.

Further details
Many good quality local shops and boutiques + excellent supermarket facilities. The area boasts many varied restaurants and there are many banks on the playa to enable you to gain access to your cash!
Booking notes
20% deposit is required on confirmation of booking (ie with flights booked), with balance due 6 weeks prior to departure. A refundable security deposit of £100 is required on arrival and will be returned upon receipt of the keys and a routine check of the property.

I live in England with my wife, 2 children and 2 westie dogs. My wife and I both work, but spend most of our holidays in Spain, where we have made many friends and have really fallen in love with the country.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We purchased our fabulous holiday home in 1997. We chose a pretty property in Mojacar, Almeria. We love Mojacar because of the fantastic facilities in the area. There are some beautiful beaches and the area boasts a great range of bars and restaurants. Mojacar village is steeped in history with many festivals relating to the Moors and Christians. There are also several markets to visit so there really is something for everyone here. The area is easily accessible with Almeria airport an hour's drive away.
Unique benefits of the property
The property benefits from being just 5 minutes walk to the beach and amenities. We provide beach chairs, umbrellas etc and you can make use of the many golf courses nearby with the golf clubs we also provide!
Additionally (and for the energetic) you can play tennis, scuba dive or water ski - really the choice is yours!
