Owner profile
About the owner
Hello, my name is Linda Crossley, I am the owner of Las Encinas which is named after the protected Spanish Oak trees - Encinas - which are in my garden. I have a son aged 17 years who lives with me and helps maintain the villa and gardens. My son goes to Spanish school so speaks the language fluently.
Year purchased: 2004
Why the owner chose a home in this location
Having searched every available property I decided self build was what I wanted to do as I couldn't find what I was looking for. I chose the land for it´s stunning views. The villa was build in 2005 to my design. Having moved from the Isle of Mull on the west coast of Scotland where I had sea and mountain views, I was very determined that I should not compromise on having a fantastic view and I found that here. Ease of access to the Malaga to Ronda road and only 45 minutes drive to Malaga airport were important. Tolox is one of the prettiest villages around and the locals are very friendly.
Unique benefits of the property
The peace and quiet with just the birds and chicharra for company. Not being overlooked. A glass of wine on the shaded terrace with just 3 steps walk to get into the pool. Bliss.
