The ground floor, 2 bedroom apartment on the Roda Golf and Beach resort has 3 pools close by and a play area for young children. The accommodation includes the use of 2 bicycles and 1 set of golf clubs, as well as sun loungers and patio chairs. It is suitable for young children and wheelchair users. The town of Los Alcazares with shops, bars and restaurants is nearby, as are the numerous beaches of the Mar Menor. The resort is a 5 minute drive from Murcia airport which has scheduled low cost flights from all the main UK and Irish airports, including Jet2, Easyjet and Ryanair. It is also easily accessible from Alicante airport which is less than 1 hours drive away. The 18 hole par 72 golf course, designed by Sam Torrance and Dave Thomas, can be enjoyed by beginners and yet is challenging for experienced players.

Notes on accommodation
The apartment is fully air-conditioned and also has heaters in all rooms. Cots or high chairs can be hired from our property manager. There is an underground garage for car parking. The use of two bicycles and 1 set of golf clubs are included in the rental price.
Accessibility
The apartment is ground floor and is easily accessible for wheelchair clients.
Outside
There are numerous pools on the Roda complex and all can be used by guests staying at the apartment. There is a bike pathway around the complex and there are also children's play areas as well as gardens surrounding the golf course. Outside the apartment there is a patio area with chairs and sun loungers. There a 3 shared pools nearby.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beaches at Mar Menor are a 5 minute drive or approximately 25 minute walk. Mar Menor is a saltwater lagoon formed when the Mediterranean sea was cut off from La Manga land strip. There is over 7km of blue flag beaches and the area is very safe for bathing and water sports.
Golf
The apartment is beside the 18 hole, par 72 golf course. The course was designed by Dave Thomas and Sam Torrance and is the first golf course in the Murcia region to obtain the ISO 14001 environmental management standard. It has lakes in strategic positions around the course and the layout was created by combining different environments and adapting to the Mediterranean landscape and vegetation.
The driving range has 16 practice bays and there are practice bunkers and putting greens. The club house has a large terrace and restaurant area. For all rental guests there is a 20% discount on green fees. There is also 1 set of clubs available at the apartment for free use by guests.
Travel
Murcia airport is 5 minutes drive from Roda resort. It has scheduled flights from all the main UK and Irish airports. Alicante airport is also less than 1 hours drive away. Car hire is not essential as our property manager offers a meet and greet service from Murcia airport. It is recommended however if you wish to fully explore the local area.
Distances
The town of Los Alcazares is 1.5km from Roda Resort. This is approx 5 minute drive or 25 minute walk. It has a wide range of restaurants as well as shops, supermarkets and bars.
San Javier is also approx 2km from Roda it it has a large shopping centre/cinema complex that is open all year round.

Prices includes 'meet and greet' at Roda resort. They also include use of 2 mountain bikes, sun loungers and 1 set of golf clubs.
Airport collections can be arranged from Murcia and Alicante. Welcome food packs and hire of nursery equipment can also be arranged.
Booking notes
A security deposit of £100/100 euros is to be paid to the property manager on arrival. This will be refunded in full on departure.

I live in the UK with my husband and 3 teenage
children. I teach in a local High School and look forward to spending whatever breaks I get in Spain!
Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
After looking at different parts of Spain, we purchased the property at Roda Golf in 2008. The close proximity to the airport, beaches, restaurants and shops was ideal and we have quickly come to consider it our second home. Roda offers peace and tranquility, hence why we called it Solace.
