Family owned ground floor apartment, patio with private garden allows you to take full advantage of the sunshine, in this the sunniest area of Spain and enjoy some of the 320 days of sun that can be expected. To take full advantage of the area car hire is recommended, the apartment has it's own allocated under cover parking. Visit the hilltop village of Mojacar Pueblo and the fishing village of Villaricos (2 marinas), enjoy a refreshment stop at one (or more) of the bars/restaurants. The beaches of Vera Playa, Puerto Rey, Mojacar Playa and Garrucha (with it's working fishing port). Take time to visit when the boats return and watch the them unload their catches, join in the auction afterwards and take fresh fish home for supper. 4 golf courses are within 20 min drive or take advantage of the tennis/paddle courts on site (equipment provided), lounge beside the pool or stroll through the gardens with streams and waterfalls. Just take it easy - you are in Spain.

Notes on accommodation
The apartment is well equipped to make your holiday as comfortable as possible. There is patio tables and chairs for sitting out on the patio soaking up the sun and eating alfresco. A selection of DVDs with a choice for all ages, card games, jigsaws and books are provided. Remote controlled heating and air-conditioning units in lounge/dining room and bedroom 1. Ceiling fans in lounge/dining room for those unable to use air-conditioning.

Accessibility
Drop kerb near the allocated parking with footpaths on one level with a slight incline lead to the front entrance of the apartment. There is one step onto the patio leading to the front entrance door, the apartment is all on one level. The patio overlooking the pool is exited from the lounge and bedroom,one step from the patio to the private garden, one step from the garden to the communal pathway. A choice of one level routes or those including steps are available to pool and complex gardens.

Outside
Communal swimming pool with separate childrens pool, parasols and sun loungers. Patio table and 6 chairs. The complex is known as the garden area of Vera, set amongst fabulous gardens with lovely green areas, streams and waterfalls, the beauty of this complex is outstanding. A selection of tennis and paddle courts are available which can be booked with the concierge. There is also a well equipped gym available 10am - 10pm.
There is a bar/restaurant which overlooks the tranquil gardens on the complex. (closed January - February).

Coast/Beach
Vera Playa - 8km of sandy beaches. The group of beaches, Las Marinas, Puerto Laguna, Pueblo Laguna, Puerto Rey and El Playazo, the later reserved for naturists. The only Water Park in the area, Parque Acuatico, open from May - September is also located on Vera Playa. All are a 5 min drive from the apartment. Mojacar Playa is a 15 min drive, 7km of beaches with a full range of water sports - jet/water skiing, windsurfing, scuba diving, canoeing and sailing.

Golf
Desert Springs golf/Valle Del Este/Marina Golf-all within 15 min drive. If required our English speaking representative can book Tee times in advance of your arrival. Desert Springs - Inspired by the famous desert courses of Arizona and California, the course has been built to full USGA specifications. Exhilarating course and offers variety of shot making challenges to test skill level of player, from beginner to professional. Overlooking the whole resort is an outstanding thatched African style long house, which is the evocative home of The Crocodile Club, with its pools, Jacuzzi, up and down bars, sun lawns and play areas. Open evenings in winter and all day in summer. Handicap certificates required at time of booking and on arrival at the course. Maximum Handicap for Men 28 and Ladies 36. Valle Del Este Golf Course situated in Vera, Almeria, Maximum Handicap for Ladies and Men is 36. Marina Golf Mojacar- 18 holes, 72 Par.5700 Metres. Two distinct nines on either side of a hill.

Almeria airport - 60 mins.
Murcia airport - 90 mins (toll road).
Alicante airport - approx 120 mins.
Ryanair, Easyjet and most of the lowcost airlines fly into the area. Car hire is recommended to allow the freedom to explore the area.

Vera Playa -5 min drive or 25 min walk - supermarket, Chinese buffet, Indian restaurants Ice cream parlour, bank with ATM, internet cafe with English newspapers. Puerto Rey - 7 min drive - driving range and cafe, supermarket, internet cafe, bars, English newspapers, boutique, selection of shops, launderette. Bank with ATM. Garrucha - 10min drive - fishing town, full selection of supermarkets, restaurants, shops, local police, banks, ice cream parlours, coffee shops, go-carting. Mojacar Pueblo -15 min drive to Mojacar Playa, then catch the Yellow bus that takes you up the steep road to the Pueblo (village). The town of Mojacar clings to a rocky hillside. Visit La Plaza Nueva (The New Plaza).The view from the Plaza Nueva is one of the best in Mojacar. In the distance, the blue Mediterranean Sea glistens behind Mojacar beach. The panorama also includes the craggy hills and hinterland of the area, dotted with farms and homes. Vera Town - Historical town with supermarkets, shops, banks, ATM's, chemists, restaurants, coffee shops, swimming pool, cinema. Villaricos - small coastal village, 2 marinas, selection of restaurants and coffee shops. A local bus runs past the complex and stops at Pueblo Salinas, Vera Town, Garrucha, Mojacar Playa, Puerto Ray and Vera Playa.

A 25% deposit is taken at time of booking to secure the property, balance due 8 weeks before start of holiday.

Guest comments
We stayed in this apartment in July 2009 with our two small children and had a lovely family hoilday. Apartment very clean on arrival and had all facilties you would need with a family. Very useful having the children's toy's, beach items, picnic plates and cool bag, beach umbrella, DVDs, children's cutlery etc - thank you! The temp was very hot - into the 40's so as previous reviews have said the air-conditioning in the living room and bedrooms was great - a fan was provided in the children's room which we had to leave on most nights. There were good beaches within easy driving distance - the best sandy one was San Juan around 20 minutes away, great for shallow water for little ones. The water park (2 minutes away) was good fun but busy - get there early (or after 4.30pm for a discount). Good restuarants within 15 minutes drive away - we liked the ones in Garrucha. Supermarket 2 minutes drive away was great for all essentials and Sangria! Overall an easy holiday - no problems.
