'Las Piedras' is a farm with a very comfortable private apartment with its own entrance and terrace. It is set in 2.5 hectares of paddocks that are home to a couple of pet sheep - Teddy and Butlin, some dogs and cats. The whole property is private and has some lovely views. Ronda is about 15 mins away by car. Come and join in or be as private as you like. We respect your privacy and will help in any way you wish, we like our guests to be as comfortable as possible. If you need internet facilities then the property has WIFI. We also include freeview satellite TV and DVD. For winter months the apartment has underfloor heating and an electric fire. The indoor swimming pool can be heated and a surcharge for this will be payable. There are lots of things to see and do in the area and the Alhambra, Seville, Jerez and the coast are all within approx. 2 hours. Starter packs can be provided. Please ask.

| Utility Room: | An ironing board and iron are provided and if necessay our washing machine and tumble dryer in the main house is available for an extra fee. |
| Living Rooms: | Telvision with freeview satellite, DVD. Internet access available (WIFI). Underfloor central heating and electric fire. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Linen will be changed weekly and a cleaning service will be available at extra cost. All towels provided, including those for outside use and bathrobes. Daily cleaning can be provided if required for an additional fee. |

Accessibility
Although the apartment is all on one level, there are quite a few steps outside making it unsuitable for those with walking difficulties.
Outside
The indoor swimming pool may be heated for an additional charge, and is available for our guests at any time. There are two terraces for our guests - one is for catching the sun and for experiencing the magical sunsets. The other terrace is shaded by an oak tree and has outdoor lighting, a BBQ and a water supply. We provide comfortable outdoor furniture and guests are free to explore the gardens.
Coast/Beach
The Costa del Sol is about an hour and a quarter away and the Costa del Luz is about 2 hours away by car.
Golf
Golf courses at Antequera, San Pedro, the Costa Del Sol and Luz. All about an hour away.
Skiing
Skiing is available in the winter in the Sierra Nevada which is about 3 hours away.
Special interest holidays
We can put you in touch with local birdwatching groups and of course we can introduce you to our gorgeous alpacas. The area is also excellent for walking and cycling.
Travel
Malaga, Jerez and Sevilla airports are within about an hour and a half. Car hire is essential. We can help with this.
Further details
Las Piedras is about 15 mins by car from Ronda and there are banks, bars and restaurants in Arriate which is 10 mins away by car.
Booking notes
Please contact the owners if you wish to book this apartment. A 40% deposit is payable on confirmation and the balance is required in cash on arrival. A security deposit of 150 euros will be required in cash also on arrival, this enables us to provide our guests with the little extras. It will be returned on departure. Weekend breaks and shorter lets are available at 60 euros a night.

Owner profile
About the owner
Nigel and Ginny have a home where people are always welcome. They breed alpacas, now based in France, and have a love of animals generally. They have been in this part of Spain nearly five years and can help visitors to 'live like a local' and find those places where tourists generally don't go. From local tapas, to good restaurants and villages to explore. Kevin & Yvonne live in the property and will be on hand to help with anything you want. They will welcome you warmly and be available as much or as little as you like.
Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We came to this part of Spain as we wanted to start an alpaca business. At that time there were no alpacas in Andalucia and we felt that we could create a market here. Now there are some five other owners and more to come. We like the local culture and the absence of this part of Spain being a ex-pat community. There are lots of different nationalities in the mountains, but we respect the Spanish culture and join them in this, rather than try to force our ways on them, which has happened on the coast.Recently we have moved our alpaca business to France, to be nearer the centre of Europe and our good friends, Kevin & Yvonne are looking after the house and Ginny's mum.
Unique benefits of the property
Since we are only 15 minutes from Ronda, we don't feel isolated, though our house is in the country. It is not overlooked and there are good views of the mountains and countryside. When you arrive here you know you have come to a perfect haven where you can just soak up the sun on the extensive terraces, cool off in the swimming pool, indulge in the Spanish hospitality or be more active with walks, bicycle rides or motoring around the area. Your choice!
