Fantastic country walking right down into the heart of Granada, only 5 minutes from the house. Nothing prepares you for your first breathtaking views of the ancient city, from the extensive private gardens of this classical Granada villa.

Notes on prices
Prices in euros per week. Different prices for weddings, film & TV production etc. Electricity, included. Unlimited use of internet included. Modem and computer terminal supplied, plus RJ45 socket for connecting laptops. Optional but recommended Winter central heating supplement (from November/March) 155 euros per week. Wood for open fire - by arrangement with gardener.

Changeover day
Saturday. Arrival time is 4.00pm, departure time is 9.00am. However, it is often possible to negotiate the odd extra hour or even day, depending on those who follow, who sometimes want to avoid Saturday travel.

Some of the most well known local artists in Granada have painted regularly in the gardens of the house. There is endless ancient Moorish art to explore - and the colours and light of Andalucia are renowned for painters.
Travel
Granada is a compact city and, as the villa is so central, if you are remaining in Granada you don't really need a car. There is a stylish old Mercedes saloon available on request should you wish to explore further afield. We ask for 130 euros a week. It does need to be insured for 3rd party risks by guests. No recovery or repair service and no performance guarantees or acceptance of any liability at all !!!

Granada is also a place for the active, with magnificent and unrestricted horse-riding in the mountain foothills, 70km of skiing from well over 3000m for 4/5 months of the year, beautiful warm beaches all the year round only 60 minutes away, weekend yacht charter from Spain to Morocco or the Balearic Islands, tennis, squash, mountain cycling and beautiful walking. Golf is also played in the area.
At night, Granada has a vibrant yet relaxed atmosphere. Well away from the crowds of tourists on the beaches, the Spanish relax throughout the night in the old centre in the most friendly (and inexpensive) atmosphere imaginable. The tranquil 'Carmen Santa Ana' is in the very heart, a stone's throw from the cathedral and among the best restaurants, plazas and the best tapas bars in the world.
Nothing is more than 15 minutes away from the centre of the city. There are 4 bicycles on request in case you are in a hurry!

After establishing by phone/email that the date you require is free, a 25% deposit is payable to secure your booking. The balance (75%) is payable 42 days before arrival. A refundable security deposit is payable before arrival, against losses such as damage to the property or any of its contents, etc.
