There is just so much to do, see and explore with the grand historical cities of Granada, Cordoba and Seville all within a days trip. There are numerous quaint little villages with restaurants and bars close by in the fabulous Axarquia. With a vast choice of activities to enjoy such as horseback riding, scuba diving, rock climbing, cycling, hiking, fishing to name just a few there is never a chance of being bored. But then why not just relax by the pool with a good book and a full glass?

| Living Rooms: | The very large sitting room (28' x 18')is open plan with three sets of sliding doors, two facing the gorgeous pool and the third opens out to a fabulous lake view. There are two very large feather upholstered couches, Sky TV and antique furnishings. |

Notes on accommodation
The furnishings are very high quality. The house is kept spotless. The pool (10 x 6m) is saline which means no horrid chlorine smells or blond hair turning green. The air-conditioning is top of the range and alternates as the central heating system in winter. The house is particularly suitable for the elderly as internally it is all on one level with just two steps down to be poolside.

Accessibility
The house has exceptionally easy access yet is very private and not an intrusive urbanisation, and is approached over a track some 100 metres from the Ctra Comenar 356 Road which is very well maintained. Once in the house all floors are level and there are several entrances which means a car can park right by the door leaving only one or two steps to navigate. Outside the terrain is level with a lower terrace area and it is nice to wander the grounds and take in the fantastic views.
Outside
There is an acre of private grounds to wander and explore. There is a garden area with flowers and shrubs, an orchard area, and loads of space for ball games. There is ample room for a barbecue by the pool. The pool is large and attractively shaped with easy access low steps at the far end. There are only one or two neighbours within 50m and neither are directly overlooking or at least are far enough away not to notice. This is not the usual off plan urbanised property, and yet offers restaurant facilities and is an easy 5 mins stroll to the lake side. The fishing is good and licences can be obtained locally. There are numerous quaint local towns to visit round and about, with numerous bars and tapas to sample. Follow the wine route and take in the ethos of Real Spain. The Axarquia is a fascinating and beautiful part of Spain and on your door step if you stay in Casa de la Sol Saliente.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is 20mins away at Torre del Mar an old time favourite with its numerous bars, restaurants and shops and excellent Thursday open air market.
Golf
Nearest Golf is to be found approx 18 km away at Caletta a very popular club and driving range which gives lessons for amateurs too.
Skiing
Skiing in the Sierra Nevadas is some 2 - 3 hours away.
Special interest holidays
Walking, horse riding, cycling and hiking around the National Park is excellent and a visit to El Torcal is well worth a trip, the walks are easy around this fabulous natural feature. Drop into Antequera for lunch and to see the museums and art galleries (not Mondays), shops and bars. There are numerous watersports at Torre del Mar and Caleta and a Water Park available at Torre del Mar. Scuba diving both at Torre and Torrox Costa on the way to Nerja. The Nerja Caves are pretty spectacular and if you get the chance to book a concert then don't hesitate. Nerja is an interesting town to visit stop off at one of the beach side restaurants along the coast road back in Torrox. Don’t forget the huge Sunday flea market in Nerja too as well as the regular markets to be found in every town locally. An excellent day out is Granada, the Alhambra, general life and gardens needs booking but is worth it, especially the Palace of the Nazarrenes.
Travel
Malaga airport is a 45 min drive away and Granada a little further taking around 50mins. Malaga Car hire(offices in Reading) are highly recommended.

There is a small local shop at El Camping Restaurant just 5 mins walk, otherwise up in the village of Los Romanes, Punte de Manuel around 5mins drive are quite a few shops and hairdresser. Doctor, health centre dispensing pharmacists at La Vinuela around 5 mins drive. Just 10 mins towards the coast is Torre Del Mar which sells everything and has banks, bars, restaurants etc that you would expect from a busy town. Eroski have a huge supermarket at the junction with the E15 and 356 at Torre del Mar well worth a visit especially if you are into clothes shopping. There are many other chain stores inside the complex which has a massive carpark. There is a Thursday market in Torre del Mar.
