Notes on accommodation
Ground floor apartment with disabled access and facilities. Secured veranda/garden area. Suitable for couples, small groups and families with children of all ages. There is air-conditioning in the living room and the main bedroom. There are very efficient ceiling fans in the living room and both bedrooms. There are very efficient electric wall panel heaters in lounge and main bedroom (these do not have to be on long to take the chill off on those winter evenings). The apartment is well equipped to provide all the comforts of home on your holiday.
Accessibility
Apartment has been adapted for manual wheelchair use to ensure property is suitable for people with mobility problems. A portable ramp is provided for ease of access, as is a light weight/slim line wheelchair. There are no thresholds throughout the property to allow ease of access to all areas.
Outside
At the front there is a covered veranda with patio table and chairs with views to the mountains, which leads down to tiled landscaped garden area. Area is fully enclosed and secure to ensure suitability for small children. Small courtyard at rear of property can be accessed from kitchen and provides space to store and dry items. 4 sun loungers provided for use outside and around pool. These must be stored in apartment after each use.
There is access to two shared community pools on this row; one being a few doors up and the other is at the top of the row. The pool key fits both these pools. There are plenty of parking spaces opposite the apartment for vehicles.
Coast/Beach
There are many beautiful beaches all within 20 minutes drive. Punta Prima is the nearest and is within a 25 min walk if you're feeling fit or a 5 min drive! Playa Flamenca and La Zenia are a few mins further down the coast in a southerly direction, followed by Cabo Roig,Campoamor, Pilar de Horadada and Torre de Horadada.
About 30 mins south is the beach of Lo Pagan where you can experience the famous mud baths.To the north there are the beaches of Torrevieja, La Mata and Guardamar.
Golf
Apartment is close to many popular golf courses and is a short drive from the famous golf resorts of Villa Martin and Campoamor.
Travel
Murcia is the closest airport, just 20 mins drive, although Alicante is only 50 mins away. A bus can be got from both of these airports to Torrevieja and the apartment is a 10 min taxi ride from here. However, a taxi direct from both airports is inexpensive and hassle free! It may be possible to arrange airport transfers with key holders. Please contact owner directly to arrange this. I would recommend hiring a car for convenience and to be able to make the most of the surrounding areas.
Further details
The apartment is situated in Dream Hills II with its own shops, bars and restaurants with English, Chinese and Indian cuisine. These are a short walk from the property and cater for all your usual requirements. There are also shops, bars and restaurants within the neighbouring complexes providing a wide range of facilities within walking distance. Larger supermarkets can be found nearer Punta Prima and are a 15 minute walk from the apartment.
There is an information book in the apartment giving details of various attractions in the area. There are also bus timetables. There are lots of interesting street markets in various places.
In Torrevieja, 10 minutes drive away, there is a water park, cinema, bowling and lots of shops,restaurants and nightclubs. There is a craft market each day and evening near the harbour and a fun fair.
In Punta Prima, a few minutes drive away, there are also many different restaurants. Patio Andalus is a good Spanish one with lots of atmosphere and Puccinis is a lovely Italian restaurant. There are also a selection of English, Chinese and Indian restaurants to choose from. Also at Punta Prima there are many different shops and banks.
On a Saturday there is a very good street market in Playa Flamenca, just 5 minutes drive away. Between Punta Peima and Playa Flamenca on the N332, there is a Go Karting track.
