Wake up to breakfast on the sunny balcony, overlooking the pool and gardens and with views of the sea. Lovely local supermarket 150 yards away for fresh bread! Safe for children, with enclosed roof terrace, balcony and shared, completely-enclosed pool area. Local sandy beaches 5-10 minutes away, with (usually) free parking, and a great choice of other sandy beaches all along the coast. Quiet residential area but easy distance from local restaurants, bars etc. Also, only 10 minutes drive from the nightlife of Torrevieja if required! By day Torrevieja has plenty to offer too, with 2 dive centres,sailing school,full range of water sports, boat trips and 5 main beaches. Well-placed for the motorway, for further exploration to Murcia, Mar Menor and beyond, with mountains, salt lakes, orange groves, and nature reserves with flamingos. Cartagena and Alicante have charming old quarters. Several 18-hole top-class golf courses within 15 minutes, including La Finca, Villamartin and Las Ramblas.

Kitchen: New fully-fitted kitchen with granite work surfaces and plenty of cupboard space. Oven, infra-red hob, extractor fan, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee machine, kettle, toaster and range of saucepans, crockery and cutlery. High chair.
Utility Room: Washing machine, clothes drier, broom, mop, dustpan etc. Also houses the water-heater.
Living Rooms: Lounge-diner with 2 leather sofas, one of which is also a double sofa-bed. Dining table 4 chairs and coffee table. Television, DVD player, DVDs, Playstation 2,and board games (eg Scrabble, Connect 4). Archway through to kitchen. Door through to balcony.
Other: Balcony with table and 4 chairs, for morning sun, overlooking residents-only pool and gardens. Pool area fenced and gated, helping to prevent escaping children! Private roof sun-terrace for your sole use, with parasol and 4 sun-loungers.

Notes on accommodation
Air-conditioning and warm-air heating in the apartment so that it can be enjoyed at any time of the year. Wrought-iron gate can be locked at apartment entrance and rear verandah, so that children are secure, but a cool breeze can blow through the rooms. Airy stair-well encourages cool breezes to our 2nd floor apartment. Travel cot and high chair. Very large, lockable cupboard off sun-terrace for easy storage of suitcases. Playstation2 and selection of games to keep the children occupied after a day on the beach.

Accessibility
Second-floor apartment with steps up to the roof terrace, so not suitable for people with reduced mobility. Otherwise, once in the apartment everything is on the same level, including the balcony.

Outside
Private, residents-only swimming pool, approx 20m x 10m surrounded by grassed area for sun-bathing, and only about 20 metres from the apartment. Shower area. Shallow children's section. Pool and gardens in own secure and gated area and can be seen from apartment balcony.

Coast/Beach
Great choice of sandy beaches within 5-10 minute drive of the apartment, some within 15 minute walk. There are sandy beaches all along this stretch of coast, many with beach bars or cafes. Playa Punta Prima is close by, and La Zenia, which has volleyball, bars and the Hotel Zenia. Also La Mata, Cabo Roig and Campoamor.

Golf
5 excellent golf courses within 15 minutes drive - Villamartin, Las Ramblas, Campoamor, La Finca andLa Marquesa. The championship course at Las Ramblas, and La Finca are particularly tricky but attractive; Campoamor is another championship course.

Skiing
Skiing in the Sierra Nevada during Winter months.

Travel
Alicante airport approx. 30 minutes by car. Murcia (San Javier)airport approx. 20 minutes by car. Both served by airlines such as Easyjet, Ryanair, Monarch etc and easily booked on-line. Car hire makes life a lot easier - Carjet from Murcia is currently cheapest, but also all the usual companies ie Avis, Hertz. Taxis can also take you from the airport, the beaches are a walkable distance (about 15 minutes) and there is an hourly bus into Torrevieja, so car hire is not essential.

Distances
Nearest supermarket 150 metres away. Larger one (huge), and shopping centre about 5 minutes walk. Torrevieja about 10 minutes drive with huge choice of shops, bars and restaurants as well as a promenade with market stalls and Summer funfair. Las Habeneras shopping centre has 3 floors of shops is about 10 minutes drive away as is the Ozone complex, with restaurants, casino, ten-pin bowling and crazy golf. Orihuela Costa Resort 10 minutes away. About 40 minutes drive to La Manga and the Mar Menor.

Further details
Choice of local restaurants for all tastes - Spanish (with Flamenco dancing in high season - booking recommended), Italian, Chinese, Indian, Thai, carvery,and fish and chips. Really excellent local supermarkets with large fresh fish counters, and good selection of cold meats, cheeses, fruit and vegetables for easy beach picnics. There is a market somewhere nearby every day of the week, the largest being at Playa Flamenca on Saturdays and Torrevieja on Fridays. Banking facilities and cashpoint in nearby parade of shops.

Booking notes
Non-refundable deposit of £100 to secure your booking, preferably by personal cheque. Balance to be paid 6 weeks before departure. There is a cleaning charge of 45 euros, payable to our key holder on arrival. She will ask for 100euros, with refund of 55 euros provided that no breakages occur, keys lost or excessive cleaning. Full directions to the property will be provided on receipt of full payment. Arrangements can be made to be met at or near the apartment by our key holder.
