Notes on accommodation
Suitable for families with small children (although the pool area is not fenced off) lots of lawned areas for play / relaxation.

Accessibility
There is easy flat access from the parking area via paved pathways to the house. However the house is accessed via a flight of 6 steps.

Outside
Private patio with glass garden table and 6 chairs, very well kept private gardens, communal swimming pool. There is a large BBQ for client's use.

Coast/Beach
Alcossebere with 5 local blue flag beaches is 1 kilometre away (c.10 minutes walk). Masses of choice up and down the coast within 30 minutes drive from small quaint unspoilt villages to large developed towns.

Golf
There are several courses within a 30 minute drive of Alcossebre.

Travel
Barcelona Reus - 1 hour 20 mins.
Barcelona International 1 hour 45 mins.
Valencia - 1 hour.
Alicante - 2 hours 30 minutes.
Car hire / use recommended although not essential.

Further details
Although quite small, Alcossebre has a good selection of shops including well stocked supermarkets, the nearest of which is less than 5 minutes from the house. There is also a wide selection of good restaurants and bars in the town.

Booking notes
30% deposit with booking. Balance 6 weeks before departure. Security deposit £100 - with balance to be returned after satisfactory post rental inspection. €50 cleaning and laundry charge to be paid locally upon collection of the keys.

About the owner
Frances and Allen McKay are married with two children aged 14 and 17. Family holidays for us are abut sunshine, warmth, peace and quiet and good food - everything we get in Alcossebre.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
Alcossebre is a jewel of a town. Really easy to get to, but once there you could be forgiven for thinking that you were miles from anywhere. The town is relatively small and under developed helped by the establishment of a National Park enveloping the outskirts of the town and local planning laws that forbid the excessive development seen towards the south of Spain. Most of the properties in the town are owned by Spanish families which creates a great atmosphere in the area particularly during the Easter and Christmas periods and during the school summer holidays. Alcossebre provides a great base for exploring the cosmopolitan cities of both Barcelona (to the north) and Valencia (to the south) as well as the spectacular and unspoilt in land areas around towns like Morella.

Unique benefits of the property
Our home has the benefits of peace and tranquility by being situated on the outskirts of the town, but we enjoy all the hustle and bustle of a family oriented seaside town within a ten minute walk. The patio and extensive area of lawn outside our home mean we can enjoy the sea views whilst our children and their friends have a large safe grass area to play on. The swimming pool is of course essential, it's a 30 second stroll from the house to the pool. In the town there is a very wide range of excellent well priced restaurants serving great spanish food and wine using fresh local produce. There is also a range of good supermarkets and shops to cater for the needs of those wanting to cook for themselves.
