The villa is based right on the Sanlucar de Barrameda golf course and has views over the first hole with the main club house only 200m walk away. It also benefits from fantastic uninterrupted views of the surrounding rolling countryside towards Jerez. There are beautiful sandy beaches nearby and the area has some unique events and festivals including the Spanish Moto GP and the famous horse racing on the beach.

Notes on accommodation
The villa has private parking for 2 cars and a secure front courtyard with video intercom access to the main house. Note WI-FI is available a few hundred metres away in the golf course bar. Cot & High chair available to rent.
Accessibility
The villa has a lovely double bedroom with fully fitted wardrobes and a bathroom with shower on the ground floor for anyone who cannot manage stairs.

The villa benefits from its own private swimming pool 8m x 4m and fully stocked garden of 800m² with BBQ and garden furniture, including sun loungers positioned around the garden (with cushions)
Coast/Beach
The stunning beach (5 mins by car) is the Bajo de Guía a fine golden sandy beach, popular for sailing and sunbathing with delightful beach bars (Chiranguitos) and restaurants.
Situated at the northern tip of the sherry triangle, 8km from Chipiona, the beautiful small town of Sanlúcar de Barrameda is flanked by the Guadalquivir estuary. The speciality tipple here is the distinctive manzanilla wine, which acquires its dry, slightly salty tang from the seaside environment and the moist poniente.

The villa is situated directly on the Sanlucar de Barrameda golf course in the Lomas de Martin Miguel, opposite the Donaña National Park (nature reserve) and very close to where the Guadalquivir River enters the Atlantic Ocean.
The Sanlucar golf course has 18 holes and is a par 72 and was designed by the multiple Spanish champion Borja Queipo de Llano.

Special interest holidays
Sanlucar boasts a regular calendar of festivals.
These start with carnival centred around Shrove Tuesday and comprising a week of processions and festivities.
Other notable events include Easter (Semana Santa) and the Feria de la Manzanilla (Sherry Party) in early June and leads up to the Noches de Bajo de Guia flamenco season, classical and jazz festivals and many top rate concerts.
Sanlucar de Barrameda hosts a world event in the thrilling spectacle where real race horses thunder across the sand watched by a large noisy crowd of spectators during the historic August Races. This is an international event, with horses from other European countries taking part and many famous names among the spectators, this is a serious competition with prize money in excess of 2.5 million euros and is undoubtedly one of Sanlucar’s most popular annual events.

Airports within easy reach of Sanlucar de Barrameda: Jerez de la Frontera, Seville, Gibraltar, Malaga and Faro.
Jerez de la Frontera: The closest of the airports to Sanlucar de Barrameda, with a 20-30 minute drive from the airport. Flights to Jerez are operated by Ryanair, British Airways, Iberia and Spanair among others.

Sanlucar de Barameda - beach, town centre, shops, bars and restaurants are 5 minutes away by taxi or car. Taxis can be called or booked from the golf club house.

Out and About in the local area
Visit Donana National Park, tickets for the boat trip on the Real Fernando available for sale at the Fabrica de Hielo (Ice Factory) on the Bajo de Guia. Advance Booking Recommended. Alternatively take a trip by jeep – tickets available from Donana Travel Agency on Calle San Juan, 20.
Visit Bodegas (wine cellars) to sample local produced sherry, Manzanilla which is the perfect accompaniment to seafood.
Restaurants – enjoy some fresh seafood on the Bajo de Guia. Sample tapas in the main town square: Plaza Cabilido.
Take afternoon tea with cakes at the Palace of the duchess of Medina Sidonia.
During the Summer relax with a cold drink and enjoy the beach bars (Chiranguitos)
Visit the market for fresh fruit, vegetables & marvel at the selections of fish. Open Monday – Saturday from 9am until 1pm (Fish stalls closed Monday)
Visit the fish market at Bonanza and see fish being landed and sold

Other Places to Visit
Arcos de la Frontera – Situated at the entrance of the Route of the White Villages, its old part was pronounced an official historic artistic monument in 1962. On September 29th the Feria de San Miguel is celebrated by bulls running the streets with local children, with echoes of the famous bull runs in Pamplona. Easter week festivities have also been declared as a national tourist week.
Cadiz – possible the oldest city in Europe. The old centre of the city is renowned for its charm, and attraction with its distinctive architecture and history. Cadiz looks very Moorish with narrow streets and small squares with stunning panoramic views of Cadiz Bay.
El Puerto de Santa Maria – is home to one of Spain’s most famous bullrings
