Once used to produce 140,000 litres of wine, this C17th Catalan Country House (Masia) has been beautifully restored. 9 bedrooms, 8 with en-suite bathrooms, 2 large sitting rooms, Games room with pool table and table tennis, 2 fully equipped kitchens, 2 dining rooms, extensive terraces with BBQ area and dining tables. Stunning views of the hills of the Garraf Natural Park and the sea in the distance. Additional services include: housekeeper, cleaning, babysitting, tour guide, shopping, chef service etc. Smaller groups are welcome outside peak season -just ask!

Notes on prices
The house can be booked as a 6 bedroom house or a 9 bedroom house. The pricing table shows the different pricing options depending on how many rooms you need. From November to April we rent 6 centrally heated bedrooms. The others are heated with electric heaters.
In July and August we rent all 9 bedrooms, 8 with ensuite bathrooms. You will always have exclusive use of the whole house and pool.
Changeover day
Saturday arrival after 4pm and departure before 10am. Flexibility if there is no one booking the previous or subsequent week.

Notes on accommodation
In the winter months the house is rented with 6 centrally heated bedrooms. Fans are provided in all the rooms. The house is suitable for large groups, families or special occasions with great facilities for adults, teenagers and/or children and the room for everyone to have their own space to relax and enjoy themselves.
Accessibility
Two of the bedrooms are on the ground floor and suitable for older people not wishing to climb stairs but the house is not adapted for wheelchair users. The last part of the road to the house 500 meters is not great. It has the advantage of keeping the house private but it would not be suitable for low lying sports car. A normal car driven slowly is fine.
Outside
Swimming pool is 10x4.5m. It is private. It is not heated but with its solar heated cover it is swimable in from May to end of October and longer depending on what you are used to! There is a new built in BBQ area that makes cooking fun and easy and various dining areas.
Coast/Beach
15 mins driving to Catalan seaside resort of Sitges. 7 large golden beaches with great facilities. Surfing can be good in the off season period.

Sitges golf course (15 minutes) 18 holes Par 72 Length 6431yds. Real Club de Golf El Prat (45 minutes) North Course 18 holes Par 72 5933m South Course 18 holes Par 72 6020m 9 holes public. Port Aventura Golf (45 minutes) North Course 18 holes Par 70. Middle Course 9 holes Par 34, South Course 18 holes Par 72.

Barcelona international airport 35 mins drive (Easyjet, Jet2). Reus (Tarragona) airport 45 mins drive (Ryanair). Girona Barcelona airport 100 mins drive (Ryanair). Use of car essential - 10 minute walk to nearest restaurant/bar. 20 minute walk to nearest town.
Distances
Sant Pere de Ribes (nearest town) 5-10 minutes drive. Sitges (nearest beach resort) 10-15 minutes drive. Barcelona center 45 minutes drive or 40 minutes in train from Sitges. Port Aventura (Universal Studios Theme Park) 45 minutes drive. Penedes wine region (Bodegas of Torres, Freixenet, Cordonieu) 30 minutes drive. Montserrat (Incredible hills with Benedictine monastery) 1 hr drive.

Sant Pere de Ribes nearest town 10 minutes drive: has supermarket, modern large public swimming pool, gym, saunas, jacuzzi and tennis courts. Can Lloses 10 minute walk - famous local restaurant with a bar.

All the en-suites are modern and well appointed, and the sitting rooms are extremely comfortable and welcoming. The pool area and gardens are delightful, and some guests found it hard to leave them!'

About the owner
We're an English family from London and Hertfordshire who have lived in many countries - London, Dublin, Paris, New York, Houston, Madrid, Barcelona - while working for an international translation/localization company. However, we have a special love for Spain, having lived there for over 10years - the people, the lifestyle, the culture and food. We're now working in the video production business. We're Roman Catholics and have occasionally run retreats at the house - we have a small chapel we use.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We bought the house as a bit of a wreck and have been restoring the house retaining original features while bringing its bathrooms and kitchens from the 17th to 21st century! The children have loved growing up there - its a great family home.
We love the quiet, rural location - we can get away from busy Sitges and Barcelona though be right in the heart of everything very easily and quickly whenever we want. Sitges is great fun and very colourful and Barcelona has the most wonderful architecture which we never get tired of.
There are so many places to visit - vineyards, monasteries, cava bodegas, water parks and port aventura and wonderful Catalan Medieval towns.
We have walked from the house to Montserrat monastery as well as to the Buddhist Monastery in the Garraf Natural Park.
Unique benefits of the property
The great thing about the house is that you can happily have 20 people staying and have great parties, yet everyone can find their own space without feeling on top of eachother. The kids always have something to do and can run around to their hearts content.
Once you get to the house, you can really relax - it is a world of its own where you can just enjoy yourself without any real need to go anywhere else if you don't feel like it.
