A 40 minute drive brings you to the renowned beach of Calblanque which is spectacular with its golden sand backed by a nature reserve.
Golf
Golf Club Mosa Trajecteum is divided into three 9-hole courses which have been host to the final of the PGA Europro Tour Championship. The Stone Course, Olive Course and the Pine Course, making a total of 27 holes of golf, offers the possibility of playing not one, but three separate 18 hole courses – depending on the ambitions and experience of the player. There is a nine hole Par 3 Challenge course which together with separate pitch and putting greens, a training bunker and driving range provides plenty of opportunity for practice.
Skiing
Sierra Nevada is a fun ski resort that we have used, it's about a three and a half hour drive away. An option in the winter.
Travel
The closest airports are:Murcia (San Javier) - approx 20 mins by car. Alicante - approx 50 mins by car. Try easy jet, ryanair, bmi baby and monarch for flights. Car hire is essential for full enjoyment of holiday but is not expensive at approx £10 Per day and fuel.
Distances
Murcia City (20 mins) has the world famous 14th C. baroque Cathedral de Santa Maria - Almudi Palace and the 11th C. Castle of Monteagudo, plus great shopping and eating. Cartagena (30 mins) is a beautiful seaside city dating from 223BC with lots of interesting buildings. The city of Murcia is an absolute must to visit, we all love the restaurants, my wife loves the shoe shops beware.
Further details
There are some shops and restaurants on site. At the entrance to the Resort is a garage with shop. Just outside the resort (10 minutes walk) are two local traditional Spanish restaurants which are excellent value. Big supermarkets are about a 15 minute drive. The area is also excellent for walking and hiking. The salt pans to the north of the Mar Menor are some of the most important wetland areas in Europe with a rich and varied wildlife, and are particularly important for bird species of which there are many. The water temperature in the Mar Menor is some 5º warmer than the surrounding Mediterranean Sea. Lo Pagan is famous worldwide for its mud baths with their healing properties. Mar Menor, or Little Sea as it is also known, is Europe’s largest salt-water lagoon. 170 square kilometres of warm, shallow salt water surrounded by sandy beaches. It is an ideal retreat for families with small children, as the water doesn't get any deeper than 7 metres throughout the whole of the lake. The lake is separated from the Mediterranean Sea by a spit of land called La Manga, 24 kilometres long and offering unlimited sandy beaches with crystal clear water perfect for swimming, snorkelling and scuba diving. Mar Menor is the perfect destination for anyone interested in any kind of water sport and there are plenty of schools offering everything from windsurfing, water-skiing, jet-skiing and fly-surfing to diving, sailing and canoeing. Away from the coast, the terrain changes to high cliffs with stunning scenery and wonderful natural spaces, many of which are protected to preserve their natural beauty and wildlife. Murcia is a great location for anyone wanting an outdoor holiday with plenty of available activities. For walking, mountain biking or horse riding there are plenty of designated walks and pathways with maps obtainable from the local tourist office. For the more adventurous there is white-water canoeing, rock climbing, paragliding and deep-sea diving to name but a few.

Owner profile
About the owner
We both grew up in England but moved to Boston USA three years ago for a change in lifestyle and love it here, though we do miss our family and friends and of course our frequent trips to Mosa. I was a professional footballer in England playing for Middlesbrough F.C for 12 years, good times. Caroline is a qualified hairdresser now plying her trade in the States.
Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We bought our apartment at Mosa Trajectum off plan in 2003, sold on the vision/potential of the project and the quality that was going to exist in all aspects. We loved the location of Mosa close to the historic (very Spanish) city of Murcia and various beaches too. The golf and tennis options as well suited us as our two boys love all sports and have enjoyed group lessons at the golf club as well as finding table tennis tables and basketball hoops with in the resort to keep them occupied.
Unique benefits of the property
As soon as you drive up to the security gate you will feel the special nature of Mosa Trajectum.
The extra detail and quality of the complex is what made us pick Mosa for a second home, we had the pick of so many apartments in this part of Spain but knew that this was the one that would prosper and offer fantastic holidays and home value.
