El Rosal provides comfortable accommodation in 3 ensuite bedrooms, for 5 people, with a large sitting room, satellite TV, dining room and kitchen it's ideal for a family holiday. Two of the bedrooms are upstairs and the single is on the ground floor. In addition, if required, La Rosa, a one bedroom self-contained cottage in the grounds has space for a further 2 people. Lovely garden, private pool, outside eating areas, mountain views and easy car parking, yet only a few minutes drive from the small town of Orgiva. Orgiva is situated in a broad valley surrounded by mountains which remains green all year thanks to an ancient watering system. There are oppotunites for mountain-biking, horse riding, walking, sightseeing or just sitting and relaxing. The Alhambra in Granada is less than an hour away and beaches are within 45 minutes. Orgiva has many shops, bars, cafes, restaurants, banks etc and a Thursday market. The owners live a few minutes away.

Changeover day
Changeover day is flexible. We ask guests to vacate the property by 10.30am on departure day and arrive from 3.30pm.

Bedroom 1 first floor: king size bed, private balcony, mountain views.
Bedroom 2 first floor: twin beds.
Bedroom 3 ground floor: single bed.

All bedrooms have hanging cupboards and chest of drawers.
Bathrooms: En-suite shower rooms to bedrooms in main house, one with bath/shower over. Washing machine in downstairs bathroom.
The cottage has a bathroom with toilet, basin and bath/shower over.
Kitchen: Fully equipped kitchen with cupboards, granite work surfaces, Bosch fridge/freezer, dishwasher, electric oven, ceramic hobs, toaster, electric kettle, coffee maker. Cottage has an open-plan kitchen with gas cooker, fridge-freezer, washing machine etc.
Living Rooms: Light and spacious south facing living room with comfortable sofas, satellite TV, DVD, wood burning fire, books and games, door to outside patio. Cottage has a living room with sofa, dining table, book shelves, wood burner.
Other: Dining room opening on to the kitchen and living room, with table, chairs and wood burner.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Clean linen and towels and tea towels are provided each week, but please bring your beach towels for the pool. The cottage is thoroughly cleaned before each reservation.

Outside
The garden has lemons, oranges, figs, persimmons, loquats, almonds and walnuts as well as olive trees and guests are welcome to eat the fruits when ripe. There's a covered patio at the front of the house and further patios to the rear. The cottage has its own patios. All with tables, chairs and barbecue. The pool, which is above ground level, is 9m x 4m x 1.5m deep it is filtered and kept clean by the use of an ionizer, so very little chlorine is used. There's a sun bathing terrace next to the pool - the pool is in use from May to early October depending on the weather. There's an easy private car parking area with shade cover outside the garden.

Coast/Beach
The beaches at Motril and Salobrena are 35/40 minutes by car.

Travel
Granada airport is just over an hour and Malaga is under 2 hours away.
We would advise booking a hire car which can be collected on arrival at the airport, but you can travel to Orgiva by bus or pre-arranged taxi pick up.

Distances
Orgiva is a few minutes drive away or a 20 minute walk. The historic city of Granada with the famous Alhambra is only an hour's drive; the mountain villages are 30 minutes or more if you want to travel along the valley.

Further details
Orgiva has plenty of shops, bars, cafe, banks, internet cafe, restaurants and the colourful Thursday morning market where all the locals shop.

Booking notes
20% non-returnable deposit to confirm booking and balance 6 weeks before the start of holiday. Payment can be made by cheque or paid into a UK or Spanish bank account.

Thank you for a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday - just what we needed. We will have fond memories of el Rosal and Orgiva and hope to be back sometime.
