Enjoy some amazing sunsets from the private roof terrace over stunning mountainside country. The apartment comes with Sky TV and CD player, dining area setting 4, fully fitted kitchen with washing machine, cooker, microwave and fridge. The roof terrace comes with a patio dining set for 4, BBQ and 2 sun loungers. Alcaucin is a chocolate-box pretty village, located 54km from Malaga and 25km from the coast at Torre del Mar. At an altitude of 510m, Alcaucin is situated on the lower western slope of La Maroma in the Sierra Tejeda mountain range. It lies within the area of Axarquia, on the scenic route of olive oil and Mountains. Nearby is the spectacular Lake Vinuela, which has become a determinate part of the local landscape.

Accessibility
Whilst there is a lift to the apartment there is an open tread staircase giving access to the roof terrace so it may not be suitable for small children or the elderly and regrettably not disabled.
Outside
Private roof terrace with BBQ and patio dining set, seating 4. 2 reclining sun loungers which can be taken down to the pool, however, please return them to the apartment after use. Good size communal pool and small communal garden.
Coast/Beach
Torre del Mar is 28 kilometers to the east of Malaga where there are wide sandy beaches flanked by a long beachfront promenade with pretty views along the coast and of the hills and mountains behind dotted with white houses and villages. Two kilometres to the east there is a fishing port and marina at La Caleta de Velez. Neja is a must see! Situated a short distance to the east of Torre. It's streets offer a real charm, full of restaurants, bars and many shops.
Golf
There is a good 18 hole golf course, Baviera golf a 30 minute drive away.
Skiing
Skiing and snow boarding are just 2 hours away in the Sierra Nevada – the most southerly ski centre in mainland Europe. Ski early morning, swim late afternoon.
Travel
Malaga at 54 kilometres. Car hire essential.
Distances
Alhambra, Granada is 93.3km, a must visit but be sure to get there early as entry is limited. Nerja is situated on the coast 51km east of Malaga. Torre del Mar is 28 km to the east of Malaga. Hypermarkets/Mall in Velez, Malaga, approx 20 mins. The town of Ronda is a must see, situated approx 2 hours to the west of Alcaucin, the drive there through the mountain range is spectacular, especially during the spring months.
Further details
In the village of Alcaucin there are 2 mini markets selling fresh local bread and a couple of drinking holes and a couple restaurants. There is also a fantastic friendly restaurant a short drive away from where there are some stunning views over lake Vinuela.
Booking notes
A deposit of 25% is required once we have confirmed a booking, in order to secure the reservation. The balance must be paid 6 weeks before the arrival date. (Full payment required if booking is made less than 6 weeks ahead). A refundable security deposit of £100 is required with the final payment against the possibility of damage/breakages etc (to be returned within 2 weeks after departure).
