Apartment is in a 18 year old complex of just 63 apartments and has beautiful mature gardens with a stream (stocked with fish) running through. 2 swimming pools, one is open year round. Location is just off Palm Tree Avenue which is the main road running north to south through Benalmadena Costa. 3 supermarkets close by (one of which is British) open 14 hours daily. Bars and restaurants are just 3 minutes walk away along with a bread and cake shop, Internet shop, hairdressers, banks with cash dispensers, travel shop, taxi rank, and chemist. There is also a McDonalds and Burger King nearby. Bus stops taking passengers to Fuengirola, Marbella, Torremolinos and Malaga are close. A bus stop where buses take passengers up to the village of Arroyo de la Miel is just 50m away. In Arroyo de la Miel there is Tivoli World Amusement Park, cable car to top of mountain and electric train running between Fuengirola and Malaga with a stop in Arroyo, also Spanish street market on Fridays.

Living room has 2 large comfortable settees, an extending dining table with chairs. There is TV with Sky system installed. Plus usual lamps and soft furnishings.
There are 2 terraces, both overlooking gardens. Patio table with chairs are provided.
All towels, for apartment use, and bed linen are provided. There will be minimum of 2 towels per person. For rentals in excess of one week, bed linen change is provided. There is no maid service. Guests are requested to bring 1 beach towel each.

Property has been adapted for wheelchair access. Once inside the building, there is lift access to all (4) floors.
Outside there are beautiful mature gardens with stream/waterfalls flowing through and down to a lake with fountain. Stream and lake are stocked with fish. There are two swimming pools; main pool is open mid June to mid September; has separate children’s pool. There is professional life guard on duty when the pool is open (daily from 11am - 9pm). Smaller pool open year round but may close for a couple of weeks in December / January for cleaning and tile repair. Guests can sunbathe in the gardens surrounding the pool where there is plenty of shade if required. Areas directly surrounding pools have sunshades. Toilets, showers, and changing rooms are available in the gardens

Cot, highchair and pushchair can be made available for small charge. Portable heaters available for any chilly winter nights.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds, for a total of 6 people. An additional £25 per week is required for 7th person. Discounts (10%) given for lets of 2 weeks. Additional discounts given for longer lets over 2 weeks.
There are no set changeover days; our policy is 'first come-first served’. On arrival day the apartment may not be available until 4pm. On departure day guests may have to vacate at 10am. But these may be flexible, depending on booking arrangements.
To confirm a booking, a deposit of around £100 is required to be paid in to a UK bank account; details will be given. The balance is payable in cash upon arrival. In addition to the price there is a refundable security deposit of £100. We do not charge for minor breakages. This deposit will be refunded by Internet transfer to guests bank account approx 5 days following the holiday when the apartment has been cleaned ready for the next guests arrival.

About the area
The beach is just 5 minutes walk away. All beaches in the area are 'blue flag' beaches. There are life guards patrolling the beaches. There are bars/restaurants along the beaches, some actually on the beach. There are pedalo hire, novelty boat rides, jet skis, paragliding available. There are sections on all beaches where sunshade and sunloungers can be hired. 2012 price for sunshade and 2 sun loungers is 9 euros per day.
The Costa del Sol (sometimes called the Costa del Golf!) Is renowned for its golf courses, the most famous probably being Valdramma where the Ryder Cup was held 10 years ago and where the Volvo masters European tour competition is held annually. This is approx 85km / 1 hour drive. There are numerous quality golf courses close by. Torrequebrada course is less than 5 minutes drive away and there are at least a further 5 courses within a 20 minute drive radius.
How to get there
Malaga airport just 15km away / 20-25 minutes drive. Use of car hire not essential as local facilities and public transport plentiful. Parking is difficult in June - September but if car is hired, a parking space below the complex may be available for 2 euros/night. Guests will be sent information about transfer options from/to airport/apartment.
There are numerous places of interest to visit whilst on holiday in Benalmadena Costa. Malaga City (the birthplace of Pablo Picasso) is just 20km away. At the end of the road, just 5 mins walk from the apartment, there is a travel agent where tours can be booked to Gibraltar, Rhonda, Cordoba as well as more local destinations of interest. Local public transport is cheap and plentiful. A new high-speed train service is now available from Malaga to Madrid in just 2 hours 40 minutes.
The apartment is in an excellent location. There is nothing that the holiday maker might need which is not immediately available in the area. For example, there are 5 Chinese restaurants; two of them offer a three course meal for less than 6 euros.
There is a large selection of restaurants available from those offering tourist food to those offering a higher class meal. There are two Indian restaurants and two Pizzarias in Palm Tree Avenue. In addition there are bars just offering snacks.
There are a number of sports bars showing all types of sporting events. Some such bars have 2 or 3 Sky systems and are able to show several events in different sections of the bar simultaneously. There is an Irish bar showing Irish sporting events.
There are numerous facilities available for children. Paloma Park is just 15 minutes walk away. This is a large green park with lake and streams; chickens, ducks, rabbits, peacocks run around; there are children’s play areas with slides, swings, climbing frames, etc. plus three open air bars. There are two sea-life centres locally, one has dolphin shows, the other has sub-sea exhibits. There is Tivoli world amusement part in Arroyo and a cable car to the top of the nearest mountain where there is a bird of prey show.
There is Benalmadena marina where boat trips can be taken to the next resort of Fuengirola, or fishing trips, or themed boat (eg pirate) trips, or evening BBQ trips. There are two water sports parks within easy distance, one in Torremolinos, the other in Fuengirola. Next to the water theme park in Torremolinos, is a Crocodile Park.
There is a road-train which runs hourly between Tivoli world and the marina in both directions. The local Burger King has a children’s play area. There is a bar just 50m away which has a children’s play area. There are a number of bars away from the main road where children can safely play outside. The list is endless!
Guests are reminded to bring their Eurpoean Health Cards.

2012 will be our third year in this apartment. The children love it. We only leave the complex during the evenings, to eat. Pool & gardens are great. Chloe, Jack, Emma, Sophie, & Georgia.
