Villa Sofia has 1 double and 1 twin bedroom and ideally sleeps 4, but a 5th person can be easily accommodated. It has air conditioning for your comfort in the hot summer months and heating for the cooler periods. It is quietly situated and enjoys beautiful open views. Perfect for a relaxing holiday, the double doors from the kitchen open directly onto the large sun terrace with private swimming pool. The small spanish town of Alhaurin de la Torre is 5 mins drive and has all the amenities you could require - shops, bars, restaurants, supermarkets, banks etc. There are many excellent golf courses within very easy reach, along with the lovely marina and sandy beaches of Benalmadena, aquaparks and horse riding at Torremolinos and the upmarket, cosmopolitan resorts of Marbella and Puerto Banus. The location of Villa Sofia makes it ideal for a quiet, relaxing holiday, yet with the option to enjoy the lively atmosphere of the coast, only a short drive away.

Changeover day
Changeover day can be flexible, especially in low/mid season. Arrival time is usually mid-afternoon and departure mid-morning. However, please enquire with your travel times and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 - double bed. (Ensuite WC/basin) Bedroom 2 - twin beds. A double futon in the separate dining room can be used for a 5th guest. |
| Bathrooms: | Family shower room with wc, walk-in shower, bidet and basin. Ensuite wc and basin off bedroom 1. |
| Kitchen: | Gas cooker with full sized oven, fridge, microwave, washing machine and all kitchen equipment supplied. A complimentary welcome pack of wine and soft drinks is provided. |
| Living Rooms: | The comfortable lounge has satellite TV providing several UK channels, DVD player and a hifi system with cd player. Air conditioning unit. There is a separate fully equipped dining room with double futon which can be used as a sofa or a 5th bed. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Linen and bathroom towels are provided - changed once a week. Please bring your own beach towels. The villa will be cleaned prior to, and at the end of your occupation. |
Notes on accommodation
Cot/highchair can be provided if requested at time of booking. The pool is located directly in front of the villa & is unsupervised.
There are a number of steps leading down to the villa making it unsuitable for wheelchair access or the infirm.

Outside
There is a very large sun terrace & a garden. Sunloungers, parasol and outdoor table and chairs are provided. A gas barbecue is also provided. The swimming pool is for the sole use of the occupants of Villa Sofia and is 7m x 4m.
Coast/Beach
The sandy beaches at Torremolinos are approx. 10-15 minutes drive away. A further 10 minutes drive will bring you to the lovely beaches & marina of Benalmadena. A short drive further along the coast leads to Fuengirola, Mijas Costa, Calahonda and Marbella.
Golf
The nearest golf course is at Lauro Golf, Alhaurin de la Torre, only 5 mins drive away. (952 412 767).There is another 18 hole golf course at Alhaurin Golf, Alhaurin el Grande,(0952 595 970) approx. 15 mins drive from the property. It is an excellent, demanding course, as is The Parador Malaga (952 376 677). However, there are a large number of courses all along the Costa del Sol coast, including at Marbella, the Los Arqueros designed by Seve Ballesteros (952 784 600).
Travel
Malaga airport is 15 minutes drive. Car hire is recommended, although taxis are inexpensive.
Distances
Less than 5 minutes drive to the pretty, Spanish town of Alhaurin de la Torre, with all amenities including an excellent health centre.
Further details
Clay pigeon shooting, horse riding and tennis are among the activities available locally. There is an aquapark at Torremolinos, sealife centre & children's theme park at Benalmadena, a zoo at Fuengirola and watersports all along the coast. A book detailing local sights and facilities is provided in the villa.
The English owners of Villa Sofia live in another villa in the same grounds (completely separate) and will be pleased to assist you with any queries during your stay.
Booking notes
A non-refundable booking deposit of 35% is required, with the balance paid 6 weeks before the start of the holiday. We strongly advise you to take out travel insurance in case you have to cancel your holiday.
