Excellent villa situated in a quiet residential area. Property has 2 bedrooms, large lounge/dinning room, separate kitchen, bathroom and toilet. It has an upstairs and downstairs terrace with excellent views to the sea, castle and mountains. The centre of Peniscola is 3km away and has blue flag sandy beaches. There are a wide range of restaurants with food for all tastes sea food is a favourite. During the day there are a wide range of water sports and golf is a short 20 minute drive away. There is a local bus in high season from the house to the town. Peniscola enjoys pleasant temperatures which average 28c in summer and 18c in winter with more than 300 days of sunshine. Peniscola has an unspoiled landscape with orange, almond and olive tree orchards, nature reserves, mountains and historical sites. There are numerous fiestas throughout the year. The town has an important cultural life with events including the International Film Festival and the Classical Music Season as an example

Changeover day is normally a Saturday although out of high season they are flexible to allow guests to take advantage of cheaper flights.

Notes on accommodation
Spacious house with air conditioning which provides cool and warm air. The house is all on one level and reached by a flight of steps. It is child friendly, with the shared pool accessed via a locked gate. Peniscola itself is suitable for small children with the sandy South Beach in a sheltered bay and very shallow. All the restaurants are child friendly and the people of Peniscola themselves are very friendly.

Accessibility
Sorry but due to a flight of steps to access the house we do not recommend it for the disabled or wheelchair users.

Outside
The house has 2 terraces. One upstairs which gives fantastic views of the sea, castle and mountains. Downstairs there are views to the surrounding mountains and sea. Both terraces are equipped with table, chairs, sun umbrellas and the downstairs terrace as well as table, chairs and sun umbrellas, has sun loungers and BBQ. The pool is shared and is accessed via a locked gate.

Coast/Beach
Peniscola's blue flag beaches are 3km away. There are 7km of beautiful beaches in Peniscola and for those who want to explore there are a number of smaller coves all along the coast.

Golf
Beautiful Panoramica Golf Course 20 minutes by car.

Travel
Reus and Valencia airports are approx 1 hour by road. Barcelona is 1 1/2 hours. Flights to these airports are available from numerous UK airports including Stansted, Luton, Gatwick and Manchester to name a few. A car is advisable. There is a local bus service in high season into the main town. Airport pick-ups can be arranged by prior arrangement.

Distances
3km to Peniscola town centre, old town and castle. 100km to Port Adventura (Universal Studios). Local towns of Benicarlo 15km and Vinaros 25km. Castellon 60km and Valencia 100km. All are well worth a visit. Historic Morella within Roman Viaduct 50km. The Sierra de Irta National Park is within easy walking distance. Delta del Ebro 40km is a big nature reserve of great beauty and rich in flora and fauna. Boat trips are available. There is also a tourist train which takes you around Peniscola.

Further details
There is a wide range of shops, supermarkets (most open Sundays in high season only) and restaurants in Peniscola and the local speciality is sea food. You can watch the fish being landed at the harbour from about 4pm in the afternoon. Peniscola is an ideal location what ever your interests. There are plenty of water sports, boat trips, spas or just relax on the lovely sandy beaches. If you want to explore the area there are all number of things to do from theme and water parks to nature reserves there is bound to be something for everybody. Peniscola is great for walking holidays, cycling holidays, golfing, fishing or just relaxing.
