Guest comments
We had a fantastic time at Finca Higueron. It normally takes me at least a week to wind down, but here I was relaxed instantly. The welcome is warm, the accommodation spotless and fully appointed. The surrounding area is unspoilt and ripe for exploration. Beaches and local restaurants are truly excellent You never tire of the views from Finca Higueron and watching the sunset whilst sipping a glass of wine is one of life's real pleasure

We wish to thank you for helping to make our holiday most pleasurable. Not only was the cottage the best self catering accommodation we have ever experienced, the whole package you offer is 2nd to none.
The 'personal touch' made our anniversary unforgettable. The afternoon at Montenmedio and then the evening at Vento Rufino were highlights, but just being at Finca Higueron 'did it for us!'
Alan and Diane
During our stay as well as the beautiful weather, we enjoyed the peaceful, tranquil settings with superb panoramic views.

About the owner
We are in our mid fifties and we left the UK at the end of 2002, with the intention of taking on a new challenge, whilst young enough to achieve our objectives - and we have. By working hard, we have built a wonderful little oasis of beautiful mature gardens, with an organic vegetable garden and buildings that are of a very high standard. When we relax, we chill out with good food or sitting on the pagoda with a glass of wine looking over the Atlantic. Living in this little piece of paradise, are life revolves around a continual process of gardening and property improvements, which we enjoy, but, when we have a few hours, we drive down to EL Palmar or Conil for walk on the beach, and a dip when the sea is warm.
Year purchased: 2002
Why the owner chose a home in this location
We had a picture of what we wanted and after spending a considerable amount of time searching, we found our dream.
Having worked in high pressure jobs in the UK, we wanted to do something satisfying. We wanted to be able to have some land and to be able to offer holiday accommodation at a price and standard that we would be happy with if we were on holiday.
When we saw the property, it was in a terrible state, but the all round view sold it to us. All I could do was look at the view and say to the missus 'I love it'
After 6 months of hard work, living in an environment that was all but third world, we moved into our reformed house and 8 months later we the cottages were ready and our first guests arrived.
Since then, the grounds have matured and the cottages have been improved.
Unique benefits of the property
We enjoy peace and quiet and spectacular views; being able to walk along the beaches at EL Palmar and Conil Also, it is great to be able to grow our own organic vegetables and when we are in short supply, we can buy local tasty inexpensive produce in Conil
