Notes on accommodation
Central heating and air-conditioning throughout the apartment, also ceiling fans in all rooms. Intercom front door access. Roller blinds on doors for extra security. Mosquito blinds on doors and windows. Suitable for children.
Accessibility
Terrazas del Golf is not a typical block of flats. The apartments are built onto the side of a hill and the access road runs at the back of the top floor apartments which are on the same level as the road. Our apartment can therefore be accessed easily from the road without having to climb stairs or take a lift. It is equally suitable for those with mobility problems/wheelchairs.

Table and 4 chairs on terrace with umbrella, also 2 sunbeds. Barbecue, hose-pipe. Adult and children's swimming pools, with changing rooms and toilets in pool area. Children's playground. Paddle tennis court. Communal green and leisure areas. Underground garage with automatic entrance and exit gates.
Coast/Beach
Small Spar supermarket nearby. Apartment is approximately 900m from the beaches.
Golf
The Marina de la Torre golf course and golf club are on the doorstep and there are reduced green fees and buggy hire fees for people staying in our apartment. The golf course, divided into two parts by a hill (on which our apartment is situated) has 18 holes, with 9 holes on a flat area near to the beach and 9 holes meandering up and down the far side of the hill. There are three lakes and spectacular tees from some holes.
Travel
One hour's drive from Almeria Airport, one hour forty-five minutes from Murcia (San Javier) Airport and two hours from Alicante. Car hire or use of a car is recommended. Bus services in Mojacar are good and taxis can be arranged.
Distances
Mojacar Playa (beach) is a 3-minute drive away. Mojacar Pueblo (fascinating old town) is 15 minutes drive away. Shops and restaurants are there too. Garrucha fishing port is 10 minutes drive away. Some excellent fish restaurants. The prawns are famous!
Further details
Many shops, supermarkets, banks and various restaurants along the beach road. The main shopping mall and meeting place is the Parque Commercial, about ten minutes drive away. Cabo de Gata Natural Park is very nearby, ideal for picnics or just to drive through and enjoy the scenery, bird and wildlife.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
After visiting Mojacar over the past ten years, we finally decided we liked the area so much we wanted to have our own little place there, so bought our hillside penthouse apartment in 2007. We have a lovely view out over the Marina de la Torre golf course, rural Spain and the mountains beyond. From our terrace you also have a view of the sea and the port of Garrucha and as you relax with your 'sundowners' you can enjoy the most wonderful sunsets. It's a perfect place to recharge your batteries!
Unique benefits of the property
Our apartment complex is at the quieter end of Mojacar Playa (beach) but sufficiently near to many amenities and only a few minutes drive from the beaches or a ten minute walk.
