A 5 minute stroll from the first tee and clubhouse of the renowned Los Arqueros Golf & Country Club with tennis, squash, gym, sauna, restaurant and bar. If you're a golfer you will no doubt wish to spend a good deal of your time practising on the range and enjoying the challenges and breathtaking vistas of the Los Arqueros championship course, designed by Seve Ballesteros. The Los Arqueros estate is located up in the hills just a couple of kilometres above San Pedro de Alcantara and the millionaire playground of Puerto Banus. Inland, an exhilarating 40 minute drive over the mountains of the Sierra Bermeja, lies the ancient Moorish stronghold of Ronda, giving La Finca the best of all worlds in this stunning region of Andalucia.

Changeover day
Saturday preferred but can be flexible. Flexible arrival / departure times, depending on previous and subsequent bookings.

Notes on accommodation
La Finca is a much loved family holiday home and has been furnished and equipped by the owners for their own use, with none of the usual quality compromise of rental market properties. Children are welcome but we advise that they should not be left unsupervised on the terrace areas.
Accessibility
Both the apartment itself and the roof garden are accessed by flights of steps and would not be suitable for wheelchair use or for those with significant mobility difficulties.
Outside
The apartment building is bordered by attractively landscaped gardens including (just out of sight and sound!) a large shared swimming pool with surrounding sun terracing, parasols and loungers. There are ample parking spaces.
From the apartment itself, a flight of steps leads up from the balcony terrace to a magnificent solarium with sensational views over the golf course and down to the sea and the distant outlines of Gibraltar and the coastal mountains of North Africa. A pergola with its own parasol for shade provides a perfect al fresco dining area, and the rest of the extensive terrace is equipped with sun-loungers, wicker easy chairs and a barbecue.
An array of indigenous plants, including bougainvillaea, olive trees and palms makes this a roof garden as well as a sun terrace. Whether you are working on your tan, watching the sun go down with an aperitif and a dish of olives, or barbecuing under the night sky, La Finca's roof terrace is the perfect setting.
Coast/Beach
La Finca lies 3 kilometres inland from San Pedro waterfront, with the glamorous resorts of Puerto Banus and Marbella just down the coast road to the east, with their designer shopping, gourmet restaurants, casinos and nightclubs. To the west, lies Estepona, which, like San Pedro, offers a more restrained and traditional Andalucian fishing port atmosphere. There are numerous beaches and beach bars (chiringuitas) to discover, ranging in character from 'bustling chic' to quietly unassuming.
Golf
The par 72 Los Arqueros golf course was designed by Seve Ballesteros and provides a challenge for golfers of all levels. Beautifully tended, it is sublimely beautiful, with dramatic gorges and breathtaking mountain and sea vistas. The wider area surrounding the Los Arqueros estate is a golfer's paradise, with a dozen or more top quality courses within a 10-15 kilometre radius.
Travel
Malaga and Gibraltar airports are each around 45 minutes away, with Granada airport a two hour drive. Los Arqueros is well served by taxis for evening outings to the coastal resorts of San Pedro, Puerto Banus, Marbella and Estepona, but a hire car is recommended for exploring the magnificent scenery of the 'parcs naturals' further inland, along with the famous white hillside villages and ancient towns such a Seville (two hours) and Ronda (40 minutes).
Distances
In addition to the coastal attractions in the immediate area La Finca is ideally located as a base for visiting some of the many spectacular and ancient towns and villages of Andalucia, with Malaga 40 minutes away by car, Gibraltar 40 minutes, Ronda 40 minutes, Jerez 90 minutes, Cadiz 90 minutes, Seville 2 hours, and Granada 2 hours.
Further details
A small commercial centre is located near the entrance of the Los Arqueros estate itself. A full range of restaurants, tapas bars, shops, supermarkets, banking facilities etc is available in nearby San Pedro (along with an amazing outdoor market on Thursdays!) For designer shopping, Puerto Banus and Marbella have it all!
There is a cashpoint at the Los Arqueros clubhouse. There is some spectacular (and for those who wish, extremely challenging) walking country in the area. Maps and books about the 'sierras' and their marked walks and hiking trails are available in the apartment.
Booking notes
Bookings are usually Saturday to Saturday, but shorter stays and flexibility with start and finish days can also be offered subject to availability. We ask for one third deposit at the time of booking with the balance 30 days before the booking start date.
