Delightful, fully equipped, home from home apartment is a stroll from the beautiful, calm and warm Mar Menor (small sea), the world's largest natural salt water lake, and the Mediterranean where water sports are plentiful. There is a large pool, a children's pool, play park and racquetball/tennis court for guests of Los Miradores. A supermarket is on hand some 2 mins away and a short drive, or 25 min walk, will take you to the beautiful marina where you will find an array of shops and cafe bars on one side and on the other, a wide choice of quality restaurants to enjoy and watch the sun set over the Mar Menor. A 30 min ferry service takes you to the small town of Santiago de la Ribera where there is an excellent local market on Wednesdays. There is a bus service for those without a car to a Sunday market at the bottom of La Manga strip. La Manga Club is a 30 min drive away where you can enjoy golf, horse riding, beauty spa and casino. Short drive to 9 hole golf course.

Towels for internal use are of course provided but we would respectfully ask that you bring your own beach towels. Bedlinen is included and for guests staying for more than 1 week, a change is provided. |
Notes on accommodation
There is air-conditioning in both bedrooms and living room. Underfloor heating is installed for the cooler evenings during winter lets. The property is equipped for a young child in the form of a travel cot and high chair.
Accessibility
A ramp as well as steps lead from the street and parking area to the main entrance of the building. Thereafter there is a lift to take you to the first floor.
Outside
There is terrace furniture comprising table and 4 comfortable chairs for dining or enjoying a pre dinner drink. The large pool and children's pool can be seen from the apartment as can the children's play area and racquetball court. There are a number of seating areas to enjoy the sunshine or shade without having to be at the poolside and folding beach/pool chairs are provided for your comfort. Due to the relatively flat surroundings, cycling is a great way to get about - bikes are for hire on the Strip.
Coast/Beach
Costa Calida (warm coast) enjoys 322 sunny days per year; La Manga strip is a unique 21km of land bordered by sandy beaches on each side. The apartment is located to the north of the strip where a 5 minute stroll takes you to the beautiful, calm and warm Mar Menor (small sea), the world's largest natural salt water lake, and the Mediterranean.
Water sports are plentiful and ideal for the shallow waters of the Mar Menor. The Mar Menor also boasts therapeutic mud treatments.
Golf
The famous La Manga Club is a 30 minute drive where you can enjoy a variety of courses - one of which hosted Spanish Open several times. There is a 9 hole golf course within a 5 minute drive from the apartment.
Travel
The nearest airport is Murcia (San Javier), some 40 minutes or Alicante approximately 90 minutes - easily accessible as well signposted and motorway all the way. Car hire is recommended however airport pickup can be arranged at a cost of 40 euros from Murcia each way or 100 euros each way from Alicante.
Distances
The historic port of Cartagena is some 40 minutes by car. A ferry service from the marina takes you to Santiago de la Ribera, a small town with an excellent Wednesday market. Cabos de Palo fishing village is 20 minutes away at the bottom of the strip; there is a large market there on a Sunday.
The regional capital, Murcia, is a 50 minute drive.
Further details
Internet access is available in local supermarkets or cafes at marina. In addition to the supermarket located 2 minutes from the apartment, there is a choice of several others locally too. Banks, tourist office, go carting, cycle hire, scuba diving and car hire are all available along the Strip. Boats can be chartered from the marina.
Booking notes
£100 deposit on booking (non refundable) and balance required 6 weeks prior to arrival. Should the booking fall within the 6 weeks then full payment is required at the time. A further £100 damage deposit is required which will be returned after housekeeping check on your departure.
