A luxury apartment resort forming part of the 'Nicklaus Golf Trail'. Situated close to the town of Sucina with its numerous bars, restaurants and supermarkets, 25 minutes from Murcia City, 15 minutes from the award winning 'blue flag' beaches of the Mar Menor and 15 minutes from Murcia Airport. The golf course is a challenging 18 hole par 72 stretching 6416 metres from the back tee. It includes five lakes and plenty of bunkers to test your game! This is a ground floor apartment 50 metres from the pool, with front line views of the golf course and the stunning Riquelme Country House. Murcia has an exceptional climate with average daily temperatures of 21 degrees C, with 250kms of coastline to explore. Polaris offer a free shuttle bus from early morning to midnight to the other local Polaris resorts giving you a wide selection of bars, restaurants and entertainment should you wish to venture further afield without the use of a car.

Changeover day
Changeover days are flexible dependant upon availability. The apartment is available from 3.30pm on arrival, unless otherwise arranged, and should be vacated by 11am on day of departure - unless otherwise arranged.

Notes on accommodation
The apartment has air-conditioning in the main lounge area, and ceiling fans in the bedrooms. It also has central heating throughout. Being on the ground floor it is very child friendly, all of the swimming pool on the resort are surrounded by a fence, with access via a gate with a bolt. There is a full set of golf clubs for the use of our guests.
Accessibility
Ground floor apartment - access can be via path on roadside or from underground parking area with lift access directly outside the door. There are no steps although the apartment has not been specially adapted.
Outside
A large South West facing patio with sun from lunchtime onwards. Large communal pool 10 metres in front of apartment. Barbecue, Hot plate, Rattan furniture set (2 armchairs, sofa and table). A selection of sun loungers and sun chairs - these can be easily taken to the pool or beach. Large parasol and a selection of children's pool/beach toys. There is also a child's UV tent which guests are welcome to use. Golf Clubs are also available for guests to use.
Coast/Beach
The Costa Calida has a stunning Mediteranean coastline with an average of 320 days sunshine per year. The beaches around the Mar Menor, which are approximately 15 minutes drive, are clean and safe, with therapeutic mud baths, beneficial for bone and skin ailments. Take the ferry across to the 'La Manga Strip' for 8 euros return.
Golf
The Nicklaus Golf Trail comprising currently of Hacienda Riquelme, Mar Menor Resort, La Torre, and El Valle, all linked by a free shuttle bus service. When the whole trail is completed there will be 9 courses all within a 15 minute drive. There are several other courses in the area including Peraleja (next door), and La Manga. The whole area is a golfers dream!
Travel
Murcia, San Javier airport is 15 minutes away, Alicante approx 60minutes. Mainline train station is 10 minutes drive at Balsicas. As car hire in Spain is very reasonable it is highly recommended to enjoy the sights of the region.
Distances
The village of Sucina is a 5 minute drive, with a petrol station, banks, 2 supermarkets, bakers, cafes and tapas bars. Murcia city is approx 25-30 minutes away, with its glorious cathedral, restaurants, bars and exclusive shops. Los Alcazares, is an up and coming town, with beautiful beaches, shops, bars and restaurants. Cartagena is a beautiful historic city with fabulous architecture and excellent shops.
Further details
For excellent nightlife, try taking the free shuttle bus to La Torre Mar, Menor resort or El Valle, where you will find a wide selection of restaurants offering delicious food, or try the Clover Irish sports tavern at La Torre, with fantastic olde world decor. If you are looking for a water park, try the Torrevieja Aquapolis, just a 30 minute drive away. Water sports are available on the Mar Menor, including windsurfing, kite boarding and sailing. Jet skis are available for hire form ABC La Manga sport centre. There are many leisure activities available in the area including horse riding, cycling and go-carting.
Booking notes
Cleaning costs are not included and are payable direct to the cleaning company. A deposit of 25% is required at the time of booking confirmation. A £150 security/damage deposit is required which will be refunded upon departure, except where costs have been incurred. The balance is required 8 weeks prior to departure. Bookings an be made by phone or email and your reservation will be confirmed on receipt of your deposit and a completed booking form.
