There are 3 outside terraces, the main dining terrace is just off the very spacious lounge. This overlooks Artola golf couse, is shaded and great for al fresco eating. There are 8 chairs and large table here for that purpose. The other 2 terraces are on rooftop level with great views of the sea, hills and local golf courses. One faces east and the other west, with Dedon Daydream double lounger bed with canopy and cushions, Kettal settee and armchairs, swing seat etc, so sun bathing is assured all day and evening. Two of these terraces are totally private and not overlooked.... a rarity on the Costa del Sol. Fabulous tropical gardens surround the elegant gated and secure apartment blocks with a large swimming pool, underground changing rooms, showers, w/cs etc. There is also a children's pool and poolside showering facilities.

Coast/Beach
Beautiful sandy beaches on this stretch of coastline which is unusual for most of the Costa del Sol.

A 5 minute stroll through the dunes takes you onto the beach at Carib Playa. Note that a section of this beach is so clean it attracts many Naturists. Here the sand is real sand, totally unlike the grit/stones you find along so much of this coast. Please note you will need your own beach towels for outdoor use.

Golf
As a golfer, you will know already, the facilities this part of the world has to offer. We are a 5 minutes drive from Cabopino Golf Course, which with its dipping hills and beautiful scenery, makes it a thoroughly enjoyable course to play. Calahonda, Marbella are all a 10 minute drive from the penthouse, enabling you to play a different course every day of your golfing holiday however no practising bunker shots on the dunes!

Skiing
Granada ski resort is 2 hours away.

Travel
Fly to Malaga or Gibraltar, and some even fly to Granada and Jerez.
Hire cars are cheap in Spain and readily available at all airports.

Further details
The area surrounding the penthouse is residential. It is literally the last property before the protected sand dunes, which are now an official Andalucian National park.

There are 5 restaurants within a 5 minute walk of the penthouse. A 15 minute walk through the National Park brings you to the beautiful port of Cabopino. Here you will find beach bars, water sport activities, restaurants serving food from many different parts of the world, Chinese, Italian, Indian, Spanish and of course Alberts Try to eat at least one evening meal here as the interior is superbly decorated.

The port is a joy to stroll around, as it is full of large beautiful motorboats and the occasional yacht. On the wide sandy beaches in the main season there are lifeguards to watch the activities. Sunbed and umbrella hire is available. At Andy's beach, you can persue most watersports, sailing, windsurfing, parascending, kite surfing, paddle boats, dolphin watching and skin diving. Plenty to do for all the family.

All in all this luxurious penthouse is superbly located to give you a relaxing, yet active holiday for all members of the family.

Everything we needed was there, the daybed was my particular favourite for a few minutes peace and quiet! The children loved the pool area (as did my daugher and son-in-law) and quickly made friends with some of the children who live there. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property.

"We had a great holiday, due in no small part to quality of the apartment and facilities provided. There was plenty of space for our group of 8 (which included 6 large teenagers). The initial cleanliness of the apartment was excellent. The compact kitchen was well equipped which made cooking our own meals a painless option on the odd occasion that we did not fancy eating out. It felt like home-from-home with all of the sources of entertainment available (Books, DVDs, games, barbeque etc). The benefit of a shared pool is that it was large rather than one that you can't really swim around in. The pool and gardens were very well kept and never busy during our stay in July/Aug. Thoroughly recommended."

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We looked for a long time for a property on the beach in this quiet area near Marbella with the best beaches in the Costa del Sol. The apartment is superbly located next to the sand dunes of the national park with sea views.It is peaceful even in high season. It is only 30 minutes from Malaga airport and is an oasis of tranquility in the concrete of the Costa del sol. It is also within walking distance on the beach, bars, restaurants and shops which is important to us as we do not like to drive a lot on holiday!

Unique benefits of the property
The property has a state of the art interior with marble floors, granite worktops and high quality fixtures and fittings. The terrace furniture is the best you can buy from Kettal and Dedon. It is very unusual to find a day bed and sofas of this quality in a rental. There is a gas BBQ for ease of catering and a fully equipped kitchen as we like to cook. We provide lots of games, books and DVDs as we like to relax this way on holiday. It is unusual in having 3 terraces and 2 of them have stunning views of the trees of the national park and the sea.
